A 0-0 draw for Jamaica against France genuinely felt like they'd won given their reactions! Great to see them hold on though. Brazil winning very comfortably against Panama though.

Captain Wendie Renard headed a late winner as France beat Brazil in a thrilling game in Brisbane at the 2023 Fifa Women's World Cup.

Eugenie le Sommer put the French ahead after 17 minutes, before Debinha pulled Brazil level in the second half.

But Renard - who had been an injury doubt - headed in the decisive goal with seven minutes to go.

There was end to end action as two of the pre-tournament favourites delivered a game which lived up to expectations.

Brazil would have qualified for the last 16 with victory but instead must wait until the final matchday to try to book a spot.

Pia Sundhage's side meet Jamaica in their final group match, while France take on Panama. Both games will be played on 2 August, kicking off at 11.00 BST.

Jamaica leads Panama 1-0. Their first lead in a World Cup match and would go in over Brazil as it stands. If the score again, they lead the group. How about the Reggae Girlz.

Fab to see Jamaica take that win! It'll be a tough ask to not lose against Brazil to make it in but they've certainly given themselves a fighting chance.

Jamaica through to the next round cheer.gif I'd never have put them through over Brazil but really happy for them. France - Panama must be the barmiest match of the tournament so far, imagine scoring three goals but still your opponent scoring twice that number laugh.gif
