I am excited for all the promo. Visual Kylie is such a selling point.

I remember the fun we had during Disco launch and expect Tension to be just the same. (Drake and Doja Cat will probably release 25 CD variants and downloads haha)

I am also a bit tense that it goes quiet after this week but knowing we have An Audience with, Vegas, Tour announcement and probably an album release is giving me plenty of strength!!! heart.gif

It's the most excited I've been for a Kylie album in 13 years, buzzing!

I've got a fellow Kylie fan friend round next Thursday evening for pizza + wine, and we're going to press play at midnight and immerse ourselves in the album. First time I'll have experienced a first listen with somebody else being there!

I remember when disco and golden came out, I was dead excited but not feeling in the mood for this era at all. Nothing has grabbed my interest apart from hold onto now. I’ll reserve judgment until I’ve heard the album but not expecting much based on 10 out of 10 or tension. It will most likely be one album I skip.

I'm a little worried the preorders aren't as high as we believe, but I hope to be proven wrong and the fans are out in force again.

Hate that we have such fierce competition again with two streaming giants, but Kylie is not a non-entity when it comes to streaming she can hold her own.

More confident than I was for the last 2 studio albums. I feel this era and her return to the mainstream charts has re-energised Kylie fans as well who'll do everything and buy everything to get her to the top of the charts. As far as the album goes, I've heard 2 songs and 30sec of another...and of course, the Vegas High teaser..... and all of it screams winner to me.

I am very excited for the album but i always am at the release of a new Kylie album, outside it going number 1 i hope it can stock around for a while, i loved the Golden chart run so id love to see that repeated again, i think its going to be a strong album that i will be very happy with. I loved both Golden and Disco and i think once again kylie and bmg combination will deliver the goods as im loving what we have got so far.

I see your point but all over, album sales are so low these days (and singers don't make a whole lot from album sales anymore as it's all streaming), that I'm ok with a poor chart run as long as it hits #1! No one talks much about sales these days as they still do about chart positions

Ya I know a chart run like golden is unlikely but hopefully it can stay around longer than disco. If the next single can get even a bit of success streaming should help the album stay a bit longer in the low end of the chart.

Given the promo that’s already been revealed throughout Q4, I imagine the album will stay Top 100 until New Year at least, so that’s 14 weeks.

I’m very excited for the album now. I’ve not been tempted to listen to any of the leaks aside from the two singles as I want to enjoy the experience of listening to the full album officially and be able to discuss it with everyone here. I’ll definitely be playing as soon as midnight strikes!

With the improvement of her streaming I can't imagine the album not hanging around a lot longer than the previous two albums. Plus I think BMG will have things ready for the weeks after release.

I'm so anxious about a tour announcement!

I’m still unsure how this will perform over the long run. I don’t doubt it will get to no1 on first week but when you look at album sales in general they are dire. I think I read Lewis Capaldi is best selling album of the year and he has only sold about 130k to date. Of course, Kylie could buck the trend. Has the track list for Japan market been announced? Sometimes Japan include bonus material.

Nothing for Japan or the Asian markets yet! I think the ‘Disco’ version for Japan was also announced late and ended up being released 2-3 weeks after the standard version.

It will get even more dire as the cost of living keeps biting. I think most of us who thought that Tension will reach Silver in the first week are too optimistic, myself included.

Tension is likely to sell strongly in the first week but after then I’m unsure about its longevity. I think padam will be a one off so would be surprised if any other singles take off in the same way.

Biting who in this context? This is Kylie fans we're talking about here, they've proven time and again that money is no object laugh.gif

The chances of another PP sized hit is unlikely but Tension has already outdone what many of her other singles managed by going top 20 and I think what's really positive is it would have went top 40 alone on streams which does show a significant change. The album should gain long term on streams which I think puts it in a position to outsell both golden and disco.

Food or Kylie?
Gas or Kylie?
Electric or Kylie?
