Depends if you think they choreographed the performance in the last 5 days since the story blew up laugh.gif

It’s just a cloak and a mask, not really the most original idea in both uses. “The Unknown” also doesn’t have a hood.

Hun, they could have choreographed the performance a while ago, a cloak and mask is a costume... all they did was run around Kylie and someone took her dress off... that could have been choreographed a while ago and then they decided to add the mask and cloak more recently hun...

Anyway, like I said hun it is snatching headlines and tweets and memes so I am here for it.

Fair enough, I’m as good as certain that it wasn’t intentional though.

Thanks hun, I am just glad enough people noticed it and are discussing it and it is being reported on online haha.

Are you streaming the 4 main songs performed hun? I have them on repeat, with remixes etc.

QUOTE(-Jay- @ Mar 3 2024, 12:50 AM) *
"Thank you!

Alright, I'm just going to be sobbing with Raye. Raye, you did that! You did that.

Brits, thank you so much.

I really tried to think hard about what to say tonight but I knew I couldn't plan anything and it'll be all about the emotion.

For some of you it's been a lifetime, 36 years and counting of experiences together, and the thing that really gets me is a love of music and connection with people, so, wherever you are, watching at home or...

...I have friends in this room that I've worked with through the years, my team now, thank you so much.

There's a part of me that's still the 14 year old girl in her room dreaming of making music and being in this industry.

I met some of the Brit students before - where are you - make some noise! And- I just, I feel you, I feel your promise, and I'm so excited for you...

...and here I am with this and anything's possible, so thank you to each and every person who's been a part of my journey, I love you, I will always love you, and you have my heart forever and always - thank you so much!"

I thought the acceptance speech was great and genuine! I think it's clear how thankful she was.
The fact I watched this entire show including this moment and it didn't register with me whatsoever that Dance Alone played lol. Maybe Jonathan Bailey was too distracting for my brain to compute what was being played... w00t.gif

A great speech, I agree! The issue I have is with that VILE Brit! Isn't it supposed to be gold for the lifetime achievement? Thought it was just a renamed version of that award?

I don't get the reason for all the horrid designs of the award, the grammy awards don't change theirs, cheapens it tbh.

Great performance, I would probs have left LAFS off and switched for Devil u know for more representation. Locomotion / I should be deserved a nod too, plus spinning. I know these are the usual songs but for a performance like this which acknowledges her career it's what is needed.

She deserved longer tbh.

1. Confide intro
2. Padam
3. Head
4. Better the devil
5. Slow sequence
6. All the lovers
7. Locomotion / I should
8. Spinning

Would have been great and predictable enough with two treats

I usually don't enjoy the brit awards all that much so I can see why the press slate it, kylie was the draw for me this year but without knowing kylie was there this year I probably would have skipped it.
The Brit academy is snobby alot of the times and even looking at kylie they overlooked her for many many years

Late to the party, but I think the performance was spectacular! It is the one you as an artist watch years later in your house under a blanket with a cup of cocoa. And think: yes, I did THAT!

Great to see the YouTube video uploaded to her channel is already well over 400k. Let’s hope it continues to rack up the views.

I didn't get to watch on the night but have caught up with Kylie's performance and, naturally, I loved it. The call back to her 2002 performance with the huge CD prop was genius and something I did actually consider could happen - how could you resist paying homage to such an iconic performance? I think she picked the correct songs given the target audience of the BRITs; sure, it would have been nice to have her pre-2000 career represented, but I wasn't expecting that at all. Us fans will always have our personal list of songs we'd like to have been included, but those four made sense as a package to me. I liked that little excerpt of 'Slow' in the transition into 'Love at First Sight' and overall I thought it was an incredibly joyous, celebratory performance and Kylie was clearly feeling the love and radiating it back. I'm thrilled it's gone down well online with fans and critics alike. It's really such a great time to be a Kylie fan! heart.gif

Also, I thought the montage was excellent and I'll never not get a buzz from hearing Kylie's achievements read out loud.
