Ecstatic to hear that Beth is releasing a new album this May, it will be her first since Third by Portishead back in 2008. This will be the first time she's done a solo album and, going by the sound of the first track from it, it feels like it's going to be more like her album with Rustin Man than anything Portishead have released. Really excited, she's never put out a bad album yet as far as I'm concerned <3 Floating on a Moment seems nice on first listen, I particularly like how it develops in the second half. But it's just so nice to have those beautiful yet mournful vocals back with something new. |

To be fair, there was a recording of the iconic modern classical masterpiece Gorecki 'Symphony of Sorrowful songs' with Beth as the soprano soloist released in 2019 but yep this would be her first album of new material since the wonderful 'Third'. This New song sounds absolutely beautiful - and I hate to use her as comparison but Kate Bush like, especially at the end. Both legends though!
