For me jess was always hugely overrated and I often felt she was getting hits by fluke so I'm not surprised the buble has burst.

It’s going to be an uphill struggle, her new music is doing next to nothing on streaming, she has had no hits (yet) for this era to prop up streams, her mainstream promo seems to have resulted in minimal interest or uplift for the singles and she doesn’t appear to have a massive stan fanbase than will snap up physicals.
She’s really going to have to go on the promo trail hard release week doing signings anywhere and everywhere, and even then I can see this being a Louise/Emma Bunton type of success. |

Easy will be pushed as the next single when the album drops this week.

I have no idea how this is going to perform for her. She was hot property at the time of her previous album with number one singles beforehand, but that's not really been the case this time, even in terms of top 10/20 hits.

Somewhere between #10 and #20 would be my guess.

I said this before but I could see it potentially missing the top 40 the way the latest album from Emeli did. I suppose at best she could perform how the last Rita Ora album did (top 10 debut then big drop the next week).
It’s hard to call if there is a fanbase out there willing to purchase it in week one but we’ve not as of yet seen it this era with the singles. The main issue I think is that unless you actively followed the charts you’d have no idea that an album from her was actually on the way there doesn’t seem to have have been any form of anything to let us know. With Dua for example another British female she’s been active in promotion in that you’re aware she’s in a new era and an album is on the way. With Jess I don’t think many people are actually aware of the new music and those who are don’t seem to be invested. This post has been edited by Jordanlee: 22nd April 2024, 10:28 AM |

It’s remarkable that an artist with two #1 albums and 7 #1 singles, now comes across like she barely has a fanbase or any general public interest! It’s such a massive fall from grace. Given that she must have become accustomed to great chart positions, surely she must be a bit taken aback that this era has only provided her with a #87 peaking single?
I really can’t predict how this new album will do but I’m fascinated to see what happens! |

think it's gonna be a disaster but at the same time it only takes 3,000 sales to go top 40, that's not very much

I'm gonna predict it will scrape the top 10 in the first set of midweek and then scrape the top 40 on the Friday.

I predict it'll limp in somewhere been #21 and #30. If sales were stronger? Easily missing the top 40.

Even when she was big I don't really think she had a fanbase as such, and with things as they are now it's hard to imagine even 2-3k people being interested in an album.
I'm gonna predict #63 for this. |

lmao i know she like (rather quietly) fell off but i'd consider her album missing the top 5 to be a shocking result, let alone outside the top 10... 💀
