https://music.apple.com/us/album/nu-king/1727466718

Jason Derulo's fifth album is titled 'Nu King' and will, apparently, release on Friday. Although with 'Spicy Margarita' the only track appearing on the Apple Music listing, I'm not sure that will be the case!

He has released a list of features, many of whom have released a song with Derulo in the last few years, so I guess it'll be like a compilation of his music since then.

The confirmed features are (with the songs they've collabed on in brackets, as they could be new songs instead):

Michael Buble (Spicy Margarita)
David Guetta (Saturday/Sunday)
Nicki Minaj (I assume it's not 'Goodbye', as Willy William isn't here)
Meghan Trainor (Hands On Me)
YoungBoy Never Broke Again
Adam Levine (Lifestyle)
Dido (When Love Sucks)
Gucci Mane
Quavo
Ty Dolla $ign (surely 'Swalla' won't be here?)
Tesher (Jalebi Baby)
French Montana (Tip Toe???)
Lay Bankz
Rema
Mikaben
Nuka (Love Not War)
Alexandra Shipp

Some of those are quite old by this point (e.g. 'Love Not War' came out in 2020, 'Lifestyle' in 2021) so I'd be surprised to see those on there, unless it really is a compilation of stuff he's released in the last few years. But then I would have thought 'Never Let You Go' with Shouse would be on there too?

I loved 'Love Not War', much better than Savage Love imo.

'Love Not War' is pretty much guaranteed. Nuka seems to have stopped releasing music a few years ago, and only ever released 3 singles. So I can't see his inclusion on the album being anything new.

Wasn’t Nicki Minaj on Swalla? Could that be her feature as well as Ty Dolla $ign?

The link in the OP does show the full tracklist! 'Swalla' and 'Tip Toe' are indeed on it. (I think the tracklist was confirmed a while ago as I'm pretty sure I remember reading that a while ago and thinking it felt a bit weird, but then to be fair they haven't been on an album yet so...)

Guessing he couldn't secure the rights to include 'Savage Love (Laxed - Siren Beat)' lol.

That’s strange, it’s still showing as blank for me bar the Buble collab! I can’t seem to find the full tracklist anywhere else either.

Yeah, it's showing for me now, but definitely wasn't yesterday so they must have quite recently updated it. 'Savage Love' is quite a glaring omission, but yeah I'm pretty sure it must be an issue with the rights.

‘Savage Love’ was released on Sony and the rest on Atlantic so that would explain why it isn’t on the album. I just listened to it actually and it takes you directly back to the first lockdown, it’s hard to believe it was actually a big hit.

Slow Low felt like a big hit across Europe last year but predictably did nothing in the UK.

How peculiar. I heard it on radios and music channels quite a bit so assumed it made somewhat of an impact...

To be fair, if we round to the nearest ten years, it was released a decade ago kink.gif
