Griff never misses for me, but this song is perhaps on a whole new level of amazingness from her... wow! I hope it can do something for her! |

I wonder if Griff’s occasional singles and EPs aren’t helping her to cultivate a solid fanbase? The crickets reaction here!
I don’t know whether Warner is trying to play the long game with Griff or if it’s just a sign of under-confidence that they’re seemingly not committing to an album. It seemed like One Foot in Front of the Other (marketed as a mixtape) going Top 5 was setting her up nicely to progress into an album era, yet here we are three years later and it’s EPs. The pre-chorus, chorus and post-chorus is such a triumph! |

The pre-chorus, chorus and post-chorus is such a triumph! I fear this is the case for me! I LOVE "One Foot in Front of the Other" mixtape and still listen to it to this day. There were also some good droplets but then it was nearly 2 years between releases and I'm finding it a chore to listen to her new stuff. I'm going to push though because the song is stunning but I could see how a casual listener would fall off... |

I think labels are kinda waiting until artists have some kind of solid fanbase so the label can sell vinyls
otherwise it's not profitable for them |
