This week, I became obsessed with Twenty One Pilots' comeback single 'Overcompensate'  The song is the first single from their upcoming 7th album 'Clancy' and breaks my record for my most streams of a song in a week... by nearly 300%  This is particularly for Fred Again.., Lil Yachty & Overmono's mega-banger 'stayinit' which would have pretty much been a guaranteed #1 on any other week. There are new peaks for Vampire Weekend's stunning 'Capricorn' and Caroline Polachek's 'Spring Is Coming With A Strawberry In The Mouth' in the top 10! Charli XCX has also served with her new single 'Von dutch', meaning it gets a top 10 debut!This Week's Number One Song The Highest New Entry This Week (Excluding The No. 1) Retro Chart Pick (My Favourite Song From The UK Top 10 On This Day) - This Week Taken From 2014 |

Overcompensate is alright but not my favourite song from them by any means. Von Dutch is great, I'm glad to see it off to a good start here. I wouldn't mind it becoming a #1 here either. Enter the mirror and wild guess are both fab from Mountain Head. Nice picks!

Hi Sergej! I'm really excited to see what the 'Clancy' era brings us, anything that comes close to the quality of 'Trench' would be appreciated x. It feels like such it's been such a long time since the 'USB' era started but I'm happy to see it continue if we get more bangers  Not that long to go until the Vampire Weekend album  Hyped for the new Charli record, I have a feeling this could be her best album yet (+ I'm sure there is the healthy influence of George Daniel to help). Happy to see Charli XCX debuting as high as top 10 here *.* the TikTok snippet of it sounded promising so I'm glad it lived up to that in full, what a stomper from her! Oh wow, the four fresh entries from Everything Everything are my top 4 new songs on the album too! 'City Song' is especially a stunner Loving the massive jump for 'stayinit', further climbs for Vampire Weekend and Caroline, plus the BJSC impact - 'BYE BYE' was especially awesome! |

Hype for Charli's new album, 'Von dutch' is certainly a great way to start the era off! I'd love to see EE live sometime, I think the songs from 'Mountainhead' would sound even better live imo. I got my two copies of the album a few days ago (the Blood Records tri-colour variant + a lovely personally signed copy  ). Surreal but also very desrved to see Overmono be part of such a big project, here's hoping they'll have more chart hits  I'll have to check out Kim's album soon, I've seen some fantastic reviews for it!
