In the lower part of the chart we can find rather older songs from the year 2006 - Shakira, Lordi, Herbert Grönemeyer, Bob Sinclar...
The very last in the chart is Part Six. They are a German boyband and Want Ya! was their first single release. It peaked at #48 but in 2006. Sadly I couldn't find any video on Youtube.

Between #700-600 we can find still a lot of old songs from 2006 and from 2005 as well! (Like Mattafix or Madonna - Hung Up).
But here are some flops of the year to find too: Editors, Roisin Murphy, Duran Duran or the Arctic Monkeys. Though these flops are not big surprises actually. |

The third was In The Ghetto peaking at #92 and finishing the year at #652. The Arctic Monkeys' first single release of their 2007 album (Favourite Worst Nightmare) didn't do better than Fluorescent Adolescent. Peaked at #64 and this means a lowly # 510 in the year-end chart. |

While in the UK Take That will make the top 10 in Germany Rule The World was not a succes story. Peaked in the top 2 and then fell rather heavily. in the year-end chart it is # 237. The same about Kylie. 2 Hearts performed just a little bit better than Rule The World - #229. Scandalous that Lumidee with Crazy can be higher than TT and Kylie... .. and Akon - No Matter is also higher (#205)...

Rhythm Of Life entered very high (#4) but then dropped like a stone and after 10 weeks the song disappeared from the chart. But that 4th place was still enough to enter the year-end top 100 exactly at #100. Nickelback - If everyone cared peaked only at #21 but was lingering between #20 and #30 10 weeks long that's why is it higher (#95) than Us5! Big Girl was Mika's third single release in Germany and managed to climb all the way up to #19 but still didn't reach the peak of its predecessors, Grace Kelly and Relax, Take It Easy. In the end Big Girl finished as the 94 th biggest hit of 2007. (Grace Kelly and Relax are still to come!) Candyman just missed the top 10 but had a decent chart run peaking at #11. With this Christina Aguilera is #92 in the year-end chart but she is still to come with a collaboration with P Diddy... |

The latest James Bond themed song by Chris Cornell the former Soundgarden and Audioslave frontman made it in the top 100 too. You Know My Name reached #15 and is the 87th biggest hit of 2007. Again Akon with an even worse song than No Matter... and is #86. Disgrace! Jennifer Lopez managed to outsell Do It Well with a spanish song, Que Hiciste. It peaked at number 10 while Do It Well 20 places lower, so is a hard earned #81 in the year-end chart. |

Kanye West with Stronger peaked at number 17 nowhere near as high as in the UK. Still a decent placing in the year-end chart (#80). Even Heaven Cries was Monrose's second single. Shame was a brilliant debut single topping the German chart 2 weeks long. EVen Heaven Cries is a weak follow-up but still managed to climb to #6 before plummeting. It is the 75th biggest hit of 2007. Alicia Keys was yet another comeback artist of 2007. No One was a brilliant choice and is still in the top 3 of the German charts. Although it was released late 2007 was still able to be last year's 73rd most wanted single in Germany. Shut Your Eyes was a surprise hit from Snow Patrol. Wasn't even released as a single in the UK maybe because Chasing Cars overshadowed the later releases by the band. Shut Your Eyes had a very healthy chart run although it hasn't reached the peak of Chasing Cars (#8). But with that #15 peak became still #72 in the year-end chart. |
