Ok. This is the thread for the latest event: http://www.ioff.de/showthread.php?t=374658 Organized by me so my first BJSC victory can come since I'm prepared to host a contest myself. But it's a lot to translate. so Vita was presented last/this month now since you are veteran over there, what are the rules to join and does it requires a lot of things before joining? |

I really do, the Good Girls Go Bad comparison put me off, but it's not as trashy as that. I like trash, but in small measures, and it took me an age to get my head around Tik Tok (it was never Dolla for me). Plus her voice is and she's cute (I know I'm gay, but you know )

Yeah I guess you're right. Production is kind of similar, but not a big thing.
I'm not so much into Bajians tbh... Rihanna is kinda scary imho |

exactly...also I've noticed Sibel is quite popular over there but why she was presenting Macedonia Yep, that was my best result there... twice Well and she represented Macedonia because she was born there and Sweden is hard to get so Vita was presented last/this month now since you are veteran over there, what are the rules to join and does it requires a lot of things before joining? Basically everyone IOFF user can join, but usually you have to apply for the contest... there's a limited number of participants, so sometimes you have to be really quick when application starts. But next time things seem to be different, we don't know yet what the organisers are plannning... In contrast to BJSC, only songs and artists are allowed who are widely unknown to the forum. So no German chart entry, usually no UK or US hit and no own threads for the artist in the forum... And no ESC song, but songs from national finals are allowed as there are only 3-4 users who really follow them. And, of course the most important difference, we represent real countries and the artists must have a close connection to them... which sometimes makes it really hard to find a good song This post has been edited by AshDeluxe: 27th March 2010, 07:37 PM |

I got Malta one time and sent a band called Chasing Pandora. The second time I got Iceland and sent Emiliana Torrini - Jungle Drum, which I also decided to use for BJSC at the same time |

why is hard to get a country...is there a official date for choosing the country or it comes unexpectedly. Well, if 15 participants wanna present the USA, but only one can... Some countries (USA, Sweden, Norway, Germany, Australia, Canada) are far more popular than others... Didn't know they have a song contest on UKmix, too... I know...but how you get to choose the first one...for example in this contest we fight over artists and when the reservations thread opens, it's first come first serve...so I'm guessing it's the same over there. |

Didn't know they have a song contest on UKmix, too... here is the link of this month contest http://www.ukmix.org/forums/viewtopic.php?t=69521 right now we are on voting phase and toward the end of the month (30th or 31st) the results link comes available. voting and results are typical eurovision style which I totally adore http://www.tummiweb.com/escnation/scorewiz/show.php?id=89551 Last month results. |
