Well FX picked up the first rights to the HBO series True Blood and will begin its full airing on July 17th. Later in the year C4 will be showing a much edited version.
If you've not heard about it, then seriously check it out. I've just started watching it and it's fantastic. If you're a fan of Buffy, Underworld, Moonlight, Angel - anything like that, then either watch the series online now, or wait till it airs in the UK. The show is basically about a telepathic woman (Rogue from X-Men) who falls in love with a vampire. Now from that the concept sounds a bit boring, but it's really not. |

I highly recommend this show. It's from the creater of Six Feet Under (Alan Ball), it has a Oscar Winner Actress (Anna Paquin) plus a great cast. The story is also very interesting (the vampires and the struggle they have to be accepted). I discovered last Easter and now I'm addicted . Also the second season of the show premiered yesterday in the US.

Just finished watching the first season. I seriously reccommend this show. It's absolutely fantastic.
Everything about it is good. I HATED the accents at the beginning, but i'd grown to really like them by the end. And the witty humour in the show is second to none. It's quite slow for the first few episodes, but after that it's really good. Definitely worth checking out on the internet, or when it comes over to the UK. |

It's going to be airing on FX soon? The new season already started airing on HBO (pay channel, ugh) though...

Love this show! Though I'm bummed I won't be able to watch season 2 til it's on DVD... For some weird reason, I was able to catch the first episode and then no more HBO. Must of been some glitch but dang it, I really wanted to see the rest of the season. I get a peek and now I can't watch. Oh well...

Watch it online? Admittedly it's not great quality if its streamed, but it's still watchable...

And it's extremely high quality if you know where to go online... Megavideo is quite good quality-wise. I know there are some problems because there is a limit you can watch, but let it load fully and then turn your internet off when you're watching it so they can't time the amount of video you've watched. |

Really liked this episode too. This season it's being even better than the 1rst. The new characters are all delivering, new mysteries are being created! The show is getting more and more interesting Yes! ;o The scars on Daphne's back are particularly interesting. Is she the demon that attacked Sookie? Is she under its control? I'm glad it's also deviating from the books it was based off of, thus increasing the surprise when the twists are revealed. Lafayette / Tara are extremely minor characters in the books apparently. |
