And the best song of the decade charts this week in 2000
Love that top10! Modjo, Sonique, Kylie, Vanessa, Aurora, Sash, Sugababes, E4 Funny that On A Night Like This, Sky, With My Own Eyes are my favourite songs by these artists, and they all chart at the same time. |

Retro faves!
02. (2) David Guetta Ft Akon - Sexy Chick 03. (-) Madonna - Celebration I still love this, even if it did flop hard (after it went out of the top 3). Hardly revolutionary but a great song. 05. (25) Shakira - She Wolf Pleased this went top five, although I'd been hoping for #1 or #2 06. (1) Pixie Lott - Boys & Girl 07. (5) The Black Eyed Peas - I Gotta Feeling 09. (7) Mini Viva - Left My Heart In Tokyo 2005 04. (3) Mylo Vs Miami Sound Machine - Doctor Pressure 05. (5) Daniel Powter - Bad Day 2000 02. (-) Kylie Minogue - On A Night Like This The song that turned me into a Kylie fan basically - wasn't a fan of Spinning Around 03. (-) S Club 7 - Natural Decent, although amongst their weaker singles for me, I preferred Jo leading rather than Rachel 05. (-) Aurora Featuring Naimee Coleman - Ordinary World One of my top five songs of 2000. Brilliant cover! 06. (-) Sugababes - Overload 07. (-) Vanessa Amorosi - Absolutely Everybody And my favourite song of 2000 I was SO pleased it went top ten - party anthem! 09. (8) Element Four - Big Brother UK TV Theme 10. (-) Sash! - With My Own Eyes Fantastic, one of many many singles I bought this week AMAZING week in 2000! Terrible top ten in 2005, oh dear |

I loved that Aurora song! You could argue that about 80% of the 2000 Top 10 was dance

Hmm I count 7 dancey singles. I did count 8 dance ones back in May/June 2000, Bad Touch had dance influences. I wouldn't call Wyclef, Sugababes or S Club 7 dance, I guess this is the three you left out too. I guess Absolutely Everybody has dance influence but I still see it as a pop song mainly. |

(-) Sash! - With My Own Eyes Great top 10 in 2000, and last year's top 10 is only tarnished by Dizzee Rascal's lame effort. This post has been edited by Silver Rocket: Sep 19 2010, 02:36 PM |

Lots of movement in today's chart.
New entries could come from Shontelle, Manic Street Preachers, Maroon 5, Example, Die Antwoord, Pixie Lott, Missing Andy, The Saturdays and Enrique Iglesias as well as a re-entry from The Script (although it's likely at least a couple of these will miss out). Climbers from (possibly) Taio Cruz, The Script, Eminem, Usher, The Wanted, Brandon Flowers, Ke$ha, Enrique Iglesias, The Saturdays, Stromae, DJ Fresh and The xx. And who knows what else? Shame that SWY looks like the song that'll break the 1-week #1 run |

Hasn't it only just sold over 200k and got outsold by Cry Me Out which peaked at #12? Not bad sales by any means but below average for a #1 This post has been edited by ~ braysephone ~: Sep 19 2010, 02:43 PM |
