Sunday Chart Predictions
Predicting the 05/10 to 11/10 chart After last week becoming the first song to reach the Top 40 without selling a single copy, it should come to no surprise that, now it's officially on sale, 'All About That Bass' by Meghan Trainor is heading for #1. There should be a good bunch of new entries this week, with The Magician's 'Sunlight' (featuring Years & Years) and Labrinth's 'Let It Be' both looking likely contenders for the Top 10. Elsewhere, Ella Eyre's 'Comeback', Jessie Ware's 'Say You Love Me' and Gorgon City's 'Unmissable' (featuring Zak Abel) should debut. From the new album releases, indie rock singer Jamie T's Carry on the Grudge and Prince's 34th studio album Art Official Age are the best contenders for #1, however last week's Top 2 of alt-J and Barbra Streisand are looking to hold up well, with George Ezra's debut also being an outside contender following a boost from the Graham Norton Show last Friday night. Prince also has another album released this week - PlectrumElectrum, a collaboration with 3rdeyegirl (3rd Eye Girl) - which could settle with a Top 10 placing. Other new entries will include rock band Marmozets, former My Chemical Romance frontman Gerard Way and electronic producer SBTRKT. Oasis also re-release their iconic (What's The Story) Morning Glory?, now with a disc of B-sides and a disc of demos and live performances, which should re-enter pretty high. ======================================================= Please note new changes to the Sunday Chart Predictions thread topic: Tuesday/Thursday - There will be no mids from MW for Tuesday and Thursday, however they may come from other sources - this is not always guaranteed. You can still post your own predictions for the week to generate chat to the topic. Will be glad to see a busy week at last for new entries. The top 40 needs a good clearout.

Will be glad to see a busy week at last for new entries. The top 40 needs a good clearout. Even though we've got a chance of 5-6 new entries it won't be a great clear out as Duke will leave and the AATB cover will go. The only way it will shake the chart up is if all the tracks stay top 20 once streaming is added! I hope the new releases hold up ok! |

I think it's now pretty obvious that Comeback will miss the Top 10 (unless something huge happens), which makes me extremely sad. I don't understand, what went wrong - it seemed like it was pretty popular because of the views on VEVO, Radio 1 had it on Playlist A, she even performed it on Alan Carr: Chatty Man.
I just hope her label will allow her to release her debut album, despite the underperformance of both "If I Go" and "Comeback." |

Sadly, she's releasing songs of a genre of music that isn't popular at this point in time. I like both singles, especially If I Go, but this type of music isn't as sought-after at the moment. |

If I go was great but not keen on the new single and all the swearing puts me off. Her style of music is more mature but she appears to be trying to appeal to a younger market.

I feel in this particular case, use of the term "mother fudger" is put to effective use within the lyrical context of the song and works well to emphasise the frustration she is trying to put across with the situation in hand. |

Ouch for Professor Green his album at #40 some big casualties in the album chart Alt-J down to #11, Aphex Twin #23, Joe Bonamassa #27. Weds update should even the chart out a bit, with all those high album entries.

Glad to see Ella in Top 10. She'll probably fall about 5-7 places by the Sunday.
Where's Gaga & Tony's Cheek to Cheek though? |

I am also hoping Taylor somehow gets 2nd this week. She'll be in front of sunlight and changing are her streaming is getting big again today so hopefully that'd enough to overtake Jessie |
