So in terms of top 40 entries this week we can expect Alexa Goddard, Jack U ft. Kiesza, Parra For Cuva and (hopefully but maybe not) Martin Garrix?

Alexa Goddard's new single has been doing pretty well on pre-orders and is also just 59p so it'd be nice if that could go top 20 and it's a very nice little pop song! Also hoping for Borgeous to do well of course but it has had no support so won't be charting anywhere.

think people have been slightly underestimating the XF boost Thinking Out Loud will get, i'm thinking it could easily pass 100k this week!
go.... Say Lou Lou? pretty uneventful week for releases. Parra For Cuva may well be the highest, but even that i can't quite see making the top 10 |

'Thinking Out Loud' definitely COULD get a Labrinth-esque boost from XF but I'm not sure, the boosts from performances so far have been a bit lacklustre. It could easily just do the same as 'Shake It Off'/'Bang Bang'.
The size of Meghan Trainor's lead is still astonishing, four weeks into release and it's outselling all but two songs >2:1. |

Crossing everything for Meghan to hold off that crap from number 1 (as unlikely as it seems) and to finally give us a 5-weeker. Would absolutely love Jack U to make top 40 but can see it just falling short (though getting there on sales).
Otherwise the other new entries are nothing special. Wicked Games is awful and ruins a classic song. So There is incredibly bland and not even sure how this is looking like a hit. Meanwhile Gold Skies is the worst thing Garrix has put his name (though it's still ok). So yeah, pretty poor week this really. |

I'm really hoping 'Snooze In C (Robin Schulz Remix [Parra For Cuva Remix])' misses the top 10, though I have a feeling it could be top 5 or so on sales which would be easily enough for top 10 overall. I know its pre-order has done similarly to 'Bullit' but I don't think it'll be as frontloaded as that was.

Music Guests have been added, plus the Mercury Prize winners are announced Friday night after Alan Carr show.
And don't forget to set your clocks back 1 hour. |

Ed Sheeran could be looking at a number 1 this week, if he does, he could potentially hold off Cheryl next week as well. Ofc. he could just sing Sing or another album track and throw it all away and Meghan will probably stay there. I'm not the biggest fan of it, but it would be nice to see a five weeker at number 1.
Does seem like so long ago since I've actually really liked a number 1 |

Parra For Cuva seems to be doing well, never expected it that high though, pretty much a dead week for new releases. Have to see how well Ed Sheeran does tonight after the X Factor performance.
