Is anything likely to make the top 40 this week?

Can't wait for the first iTunes update to come in considering the vast amount of new releases!

Is anything likely to make the top 40 this week? Well I think about 40 songs will. Hopefully The Prodigy's new single will get an OA/OS release on Monday, though this is not in any way confirmed (and as the album isn't out until March it quite probably won't happen). Failing that, Rae Morris MIGHT go top 40 on sales but I'd be very surprised if she did overall. So essentially no. |

This is probably the most boring period for the UK charts since late 2004 when I started following it. It's like Uptown Funk has set up camp at #1 and there aren't any exciting new releases on the horizon.

This is the day that Uptown Funk was supposed to be released on iTunes. Let's just let that sink in for a minute.

Does anybody know why the release of Gwen Stefani's new single was cancelled?! ... Been counting down the weeks until I could download it!! means I'll have to now wait for the album!

It's like Uptown Funk has set up camp at #1 and there aren't any exciting new releases on the horizon. Meghan Trainors new song is released next week isn't it? Could that possibly go to number one? don't really follow the charts that much but have heard it a lot on the radio. |

I'd like to see Rae Morris make the top 40, good track!
I can't believe that's the only new release in with a shout of making it though. Jeeez. |

How dull of a week this is set to be, lol. Would love Rae Morris to have a top 40 but I can't see her making it. At least we'll get Sia as a new entry to save the chart from the embarrassment of having none

Well Gwen could have had a shot at top 40 if she hadn't pulled it, with everything being this quiet. Off to Amazon I go then because, flop or not, I love Baby Don't Lie.

Didn't realise it was such a dull week for the UK charts - could have another batch of non-movers in the T10 (or climbers rather with Ben Haenow and Tchami likely to fall a place or two). Hoping the likes of Blonde, Sia, Oliver Heldens and Ella Henderson will be able to climb again officially.
Rae Morris for T40 please! |

The "dull weeks" usually end up being the most exciting by about Wednesday. They throw a fair few surprises/climbers from outside the top 40! But yeah, new release wise it doesn't look to be much. Hoping for a surprise OA/OS style hit from Rihanna or Adele or something. Would love for Kelly to release OA/OS but she'll benefit more from being held back.
