Looks pretty exciting actually with the chart rush and facts in an easy to read way. The website as it is is terrible IMO!
The decent release list will be useful for BJs release thread too!! |

OMG YESSSSSSS!
They must've realised from the Chartstats takedown backlash that people are interested in full chart archives, so glad the OCC are finally doing it and with chart runs too! *.* |

I was just about to post about this too. Has anyone else noticed that for the first time the OCC is saying their chart archive goes back to 1952!? As much as I'd like a complete archive, it would imply that the OCC has somehow obtained the copyright, or a licence, for the NME charts that previously NME would not give them.

Oh this is fantastic news, the archives only being top 40s was incredibly annoying. Whether their official database will actually be as good or user friendly as Chartstats' remains to be seen but at least we'll have a working and up to date archive again.

My inner chart geek is FLAILING right now, loving all this info like the chart runs! Also pretty cool for my retro faves that this will stretch back to 1952 now as opposed to 1960! OCC you done good.

Assuming they have built it properly, it should have the advantage of being updated as soon as the new chart is published. |

At least we'll be able to look back on every end of year chart. I still think that they need to correct the dates of their chart archives; publish the weekly chart as the day the chart is announced instead of the following Saturday

I also hope that they publish every single weekly compilation chart from 14-01-1989 so we can see what the first ever compilation to top this chart was, although everyone knows it was NOW 13

They're hardly gonna post screencaps of the new site if it's not happening, are they?
