QUOTE 6 Lady Gaga Songs That Should Have Been Singles Six underrated Gaga songs that should have been singles with music videos. 1. Dance In The Dark Without a doubt, a fan favourite from The Fame Monster, Dance In The Dark is synth/dance pop record that deals with the intimate experience between two people alone in a bedroom. According to Gaga, it’s about a girl who likes to have sex with the lights off due to her being ashamed of her body. According to MTV, Dance In The Dark was planned to be the next single after Telephone but the studio decided they wanted Alejandro, instead. 2. Monster Another dance floor jam from Fame Monster. It’s a shame this song never became a single simply due to the fact that it’s damn good and a music video would have literally been, monster. The song is extremely radio friendly with catchy hooks and choruses. “He ate my heart” would have caught on so well. 3. Scheiße Can fans ever forgive Gaga for not making this song a single? Time will tell once her and producer RedOne team up once again for her next pop album. Following Bad Romance’s “Rah Rah” chant, Gaga chants in faux-German and it’s AMAZING. It’s a dance pop song with heavy synths. There’s also fast techno beats with electroclash and eurodisco influences. It nears pop perfection. If you listen closely to the song, you can hear little monsters screaming “YAAASSS”. Okay, but really, how amazing would a music video have been for this song? 4. Heavy Metal Lover The very last song to be recorded for the album “Born This Way” and was rumoured to be the next single after Marry The Night, but unfortunately that did not happen. Don’t get confused with the misleading title, the song is a heavy futuristic dance jam, that makes you want to grab your friends, throw on some leather and go cause trouble in the streets. This song is pretty much the definition of “badass” and probably one of Gaga’s most underrated songs to date. 5. Venus I think I’ll always be a little hurt that this song wasn’t a single just because it’s the first song Gaga has produced, on her own. Also, the fact that it was planned to be the second single from ARTPOP, with release dates and single covers already revealed, until the general public decided they liked Do What U Want better. Do I think DWUW was probably a better choice? Yes. But I can’t help but be a little depressed that I’ll never get to see a music video for one of my most loved Gaga songs… 6. Gypsy This song was destined to be the last single to close up the ARTPOP era and it didn’t happen. I think it’ll forever be a big question mark to fans. It was a perfect set up to take some time off of pop music (which is what she did) and she could have used all the footage from the artRAVE tour to make an amazing music video. Rolling Stone called the song “an eighties sounding anthem”. Gypsy was the only song on ARTPOP to have a hint of RedOne’s help and you can certainly tell. It’s crisp, clean and once the chorus hits, you’ll be jumping up and down while wiping your tears. Source Agree / disagree? |

I agree with every single one except Monster, I never got the love for it. I'd have said Sexxx Dreams instead.

Gypsy and Dance In The Dark for sure, the rest I don't really see to be honest. That might be down to the fact I hate them all though.

All are 9/10 or 10/10 moments.
Won't have all been good choices from a success viewpoint obviously but imagining the videos we could've had. Venus is such an anthem |

Dance in the Dark and Gypsy are the two glaringly obvious ones here for me, but as has been said the videos for them ALL would have been potentially incredible. So many missed opportunities :'(

You cannot agree with 'Venus' and disagree with any of the others tbh. seriously the worst thing she's ever done for me. Vile.
Replace that in this list with 'Sexxx Dreams' and I'd agree with them all tbh. |

Schiesse and Monster YES!!
A BIG FAT NO!!! to career-destroyingly bad Venus. It's SScreech level of awfulness. It's just sheer shit. It was sad that was ever considered for the album n even sadder it was considered as a single so far into her career. |

Dance In The Dark, Monster, Schieße and Gyspy should have definitely been singles.
Heavy Metal Lover, as much as I love it, doesn't strike me as a single and Venus is just terrible and would have gone down like a bad fart. |
