Avicii and Disclosure FINALLY getting playlisted! party2.gif

also pleased about the 5H addition, I thought they were gonna get snubbed. And YAY for Sam Feldt too, that sounds like a big summer smash heart.gif

What, no Conor Maynard? ohmy.gif I really thought they would still support him but I guess they're not. Final nail in the coffin for his career then?

Knew Fifth Harmony would be supported. No Elliphant but I'm still confident it will be added, we just don't know when its impact date is yet.

Surprised at no Kodaline and no Eminem. Strange that Rudimental are off already, and very disappointing to see Fall Out Boy off the playlist after only 2 weeks on the A-list and 4 weeks overall sad.gif

All in all, quite an update though!

Didn't expect Fifth Harmony, wahey!

Nick Jonas' song is very good, not quite as good as 'Jealous' though. Very JT, I suspect that'll be a top 15.

Felt so much longer! drama.gif Annoyingly catchy but not what Fall Out Boy should be doing.

Best playlist in ages.

'Chains', and 'Black Magic' are very welcome (obvious) additions. And 'Worth it' is a bit of a surprise, but I'm glad they're getting on board. Radio 1 adding two girlbands in a week... What happened?

I feel like they should have waited for 'Lean On' to stop smashing so much before pushing a new Major Lazer track - 'Powerful' is my least favourite song off the album though.

Did people rly think R1 would snub Disclosure or Avicii? The other two I kinda get (tbh even I thought 5H were being snubbed by this stage, their release must still be further away than it feels, and although I fully expected LM to get playlisted I wouldn't have been MASSIVELY shocked if they weren't).

Anyway... some female pop acts have been playlisted so I guess BuzzJack will be happy this week lol ~ I am glad to see 'Worth It' added after all, and some other pretty good additions/movements aside. Can this 'Messiah' re-release please make Prides finally do something in the chart? I know it won't but I can hope. Ugh at Sam Feldt though. The worst version of 'Show Me Love' yet.

Great adds today!

If they are playlisting powerful then must be a single now. Could this not get forgotten about with Lean On still being so massive?

Yes, by far! It kind of pains me that Clean Bandit can't push their excellent version of it instead of this turgid mess.

Covers of 'Show Me Love' don't work because they all seem to use that exact instrumental hook. I don't even think the original is THAT great (although that could be more to do with the cover versions devaluing it more than anything).

The original Show Me Love is phenomenal, a symbol of US Garage. None of the covers I've heard have ever come close, and I'm definitely one of those that always supports the original versions either.
