Friday Chart Predictions
Little Mix seem to be losing control at the top but will they do enough to hold off One Direction with their brand new release 'Drag Me Down'. Other new single releases this week come from Joe Stone with a reworking version of Montell Jordan's hit 'This Is How We Do It' re-entitled 'The Party'. Silentó 'Whip Me', Shaggy feat. Faydee & Costi 'I Need Your Love', Duke Dumont 'Ocean Drive' (not to be confused with the Lighthouse Family version), Galantis 'Peanut Butter Jelly', Jess Glynne 'Why Me', Kygo feat. Wil Heard 'Nothing Left', Major Lazer feat. Ellie Goulding & Tarrus Riley 'Powerful', Joe Weller 'Wanna Do' and Jeremih feat Flo Rida 'Tonight Belongs To U!' are all looking to chart inside the top 40/50. The singles chart could actually get a bit of a clear out at long last. On the album chart Years & Years might re-take the #1 album position facing strong competition from The Maccabees with their brand new studio album 'Marks To Prove It'. Other new album releases this week from Lianne La Havas 'Blood' and Joss Stone 'Water For Your Soul' another poor new release week, expect album sales to be very low at the top end of the chart. Also since Cilla Black has passed away over the weekend, we could see a revival of her album back inside the top 40. On a different note how about getting creative with a banner to grace this topic every week, must include Friday Chart Predictions in the banner, PM your banners to a chart mod, we could even alternate the banners every month, if we have quite a few entries. Get creative!!! ======================================================== Changes for all future updates: Monday: OCC Top 100 + Radio 1 Chart Update 5:30pm to 5:45pm Tuesday/ Wednesday: Top 40 updates as when we have them not 100% guaranteed, also Twitter is your friend and other social media, OCC will have sales flashes on their own site, please always source them if you post anything on Buzzjack. Thursday: Top 5 only with sales if available + Requests. MW will publish a Top 40 Update from 5:45pm, on Monday & Wednesday each week. To keep everyone in the loop of all chart action please refer to the iTunes thread topic. |

I haven't heard anything from this era at all but if The Maccabees could finally get a #1 album this time that would be good!

Exciting stuff this week, hoping Joe Stone can go Top 5 and Disclosure can go Top 10 and would love Sigma to get a second week Top 10 and Calvin to climb, love How Deep Is Your Love. Duke and Rudimental to make Top 40 I don't understand why Rudimental are rushing there tracks out instead of releasing as planned, it's harming there chances of another big hit |

I love how what seems like a boring and slow week sparks into action and becomes one of the more interesting ones in a while. I do think One Direction will run away with it this week though, their streaming numbers are incredible

It baffles me that Shaggy is getting a decent hit with that trash when Enrique Iglesias couldn't a year ago with an awesome latino track.

Just like to add with Cilla Black passing away over the weekend, her album could enter the top 40 Album chart at the end of the week, and maybe the odd single. I must admit its not much of a dead week in the singles chart. Also added Joe Weller in the opening post, that track flew over my head, didn't see that coming.
Going to be away for most of the week, Mint Royale is your best friend for all those updates until tonight after the Radio 1 update show. OCC will have the full top 100 online. |

I still haven't managed to find a non-pitched legit audio for Drag Me Down on YouTube yet :/
The Party to go 'under' the top 10 this week, and Ocean Drive to please not flop I could see PBJ doing something similar to Stole the Show actually. I've only known the existence of Why Me a few hours ago so I doubt it'll debut very high. What even happened to the one before? Also hyping up for Kygo's new track and would like Powerful and Tonight Belongs to U to do well |

I despise One Direction but kudos to their fans/management for overcoming this OA/OS streaming lag and showing everyone else that you can start high even with streaming if you handle it properly! So #1 for them it is then.
