Howdy. I want to make a house mixtape but I'm keen to include some new discoveries as well as just the things I already know. Therefore I'm kinda hoping you guys will be able to recommend some of your favourite tracks to help me find a few new things.
To give you an idea, some of the things I currently have lined up are... Kiesza - Hideaway Breach - Everything You Never Had (We Had It All) Oliver $ & Jimi Jules - Pushin On Storm Queen - Look Right Through Livin' Joy - Dreamer Tchami - Untrue Calvin Harris & Disciples - How Deep Is Your Love Basically I need some less obvious things to make it feel a little less like a Ministry of Sound compilation re-tread.  |

What are you going to use to create the mixtape?
I've barely managed to get my head around Virtual DJ and this is the best I can do: That aside, I enjoy creating mixes and should really do it more often. This sounds like it's going to be amazing though

Thanks all for your input so far, I'm slowly making my way through the suggestions.
What's a LarsM?  Jaded is a must... and I like the idea of some Tracey Thorn remixes very much, the Grand Canyon mix in particular seems good. lewistgreen... I use mixmeister, albeit increasingly sparingly these days. I'm only digging it out again as I really want a mixtape for my travels and I cannot find a compilation that isn't half full of crap - and I'm not good at sitting through tracks I don't enjoy. How long have you been creating them for? I've never used Virtual DJ so no idea if it's any good or not

I do like it!
However... not as much as I love that Riton/Kah-lo track you posted about in another thread!  So much so that I've had to re-do an entire section to fit it in. *.*Oh and Crunk is indeed fabulous - such a shame the sample rule is in place as it sounded like a potential winner to me. |
