In one of the quickest turnarounds ever, Montenegro have gone from possibly withdrawing from Eurovision 2016 to announcing their artist tonight!

QUOTE
Highway have been internally selected by Montenegrin broadcaster RTCG to represent them in the Eurovision Song Contest 2016. The three piece boy band will travel to Stockholm next May.

Highway is a group consisting of three members: Petar Tošić, Marko Pešić and Luka Vojvodić. The latter two, Marko and Luka, also play the guitar. The group rose to fame on X Factor Adria and got a record deal straight after. This year, they participated in Suncane Skale with the song Bar Na Kratko. They finished in third place. A good sign for Stockholm? The song they’ll be singing for Montenegro in Globen will be revealed at a later date.

Well I'm glad they're not withdrawing over their jury controversy last year, they're normally good value and have shown tremendous spirit for such a small country.

Description (and brief watching of the escxtra clip) of that group could go either way really.

Here they are in the X Factor Adria final earlier this year:

It's going to be a nice change from the balkan ballad formula they've used - admittedly very effectively both times - for the last couple of years. This video doesn't fill me with too much hope, but with a good song there could be some potential here!

The song is being presented on March 4th as we already knew, but we now have a title and it is 'Real Thing'.

About the music video they say:
"This is going to be something that Europe hasn’t seen yet. Artistical, video is filled with special effects and animations. It was really important to us to make a connection between the music video and energy of the song"

Slightly more accessible than Georgia but still very poor, but I guess every year has to have a couple of complete duds and this year hopefully it is just Georgia and Montenegro!

I swear no one appreciates interesting instrumental sections anymore.

I'm starting to go off Georgia a little, this could be a very capable replacement, it's more tuneful certainly.
