Stephen Fry will be leaving QI after the latest series, which starts on Friday. Sandi Toksvig will replace him.

That's quite interesting.
Sandi Toksvig is a great choice though - she's practically the female Stephen Fry. |

My first thoughts when I saw that Sandi Toksvig's taking over was "does this mean that she's quitting 15 to 1?" Hopefully not, but hopefully it means that a lot more people will check out 15 to 1 whilst she's still host. Specifically the two episodes which are shown on Channel 4 next Tuesday and Wednesday.
I think she's a perfect fit for the show. She's been a semi-regular panelist on it, she's more than intelligent enough to take over from Stephen Fry, and she's hosted a successful long running panel show before with great success (Radio 4's News Quiz). |

Hmmmm does that mean a certain B-B is appearing on 15 to 1 next week....? Sadly I'm out of the country or I'd be looking in.... |

I'm watching today's 15 to 1 atm. Do you know how many shows are recorded each day?
I'm glad they have made both announcements at the same time. It saves loads of discussion about whether QI will continue and who the new host will be. I expect it to be a bit different with Sandi Toksvig as host, but I think she's a good choice. |

It wont be the same. No slight intended to Sandi. It'll be like one of the class has been left in charge while the teacher has gone off for an hour or two.

She'll be an good host of QI. She has done a great job with the revival of 15 to 1. Her career has blossomed as she's got older. I remember her on Call My Bluff as a team captain wasn't she?
