I believe this is his attempt at a comeback, in the past 5 years he's gone from despairing about not being cool enough to taking a pill in Ibiza to show Avicii that he's "cool".

It bears more than a passing similarity to 'Lean On', but I'm actually really loving this!

I just heard this on the radio for the first time. I really instantly love it. I listened to the original version and it's so flat in comparison. The tropical House remix really makes the song come alive, and the lyrics are still strikingly poignant in parts.

I'd like to see this become a hit, I know it's already doing well on streaming and has had some attention on the dance scene.

It's ascending rapidly on iTunes, now up to #14. ohmy.gif Maybe we could be looking at a future potential #1?

This has completely amazed me, when I first made this thread I assumed it'd just fall by the wayside and not do anything. It even surprised me when I saw it make a small dent on iTunes and Spotify at the start of the year!

I heard this for the first time on Friday night at a pre-drinks and I have had it in my head ever since. I have always enjoyed Mike's vocals and thought he had potential to be big with the right material. A brilliant song, so catchy and on-trend. music.gif

The lyric "i'm a singer who has already blown his shot" is VERY premature.

The SeeB remix is really good and it's better than the original version, despite the message of the track fits better in the latter. Anyway, I'm glad to see that it's taking off in the UK.

On MTV, he says "I Took A Plane To Ibiza" so the clean version should be called that instead of "In Ibiza"

Now completely changed my mind on this (sort of). I LOVE the verses in this, the only thing I'm not all that keen on is the drop but even that's growing.

Just realised also how much this sounds like Major Lazer - Lean On/Yall - Hundred Miles.

Lastly, that vid has already won the creepiest video of the year award.

Someone played this in my hostel room in early January and only two of us - me and a Canadian woman - knew what the song was! Amazing to see how quickly it's taken off since then, awesome #1 smile.gif
