Welcome to Round 7 of Least Fave Disney Classic and we say goodbye to another 3 features and we are now down to our top 30. It seems that since the lesser known titles have been shifted out, it seems to be getting serious now. "Fantasia" finally bows out with 10 votes, then there's "Sword In The Stone" with 9 votes, coming as a complete surprise due to it only having 1 vote in the previous round. However both are from the Golden Age of Disney, meaning we finally lose some of those now. Then finally "Bolt" also gets voted out with 8 votes.

As for the other results "The Emperor's New Groove" came really close with 7 votes, while "The Princess and the Frog" gains 5, "The Aristocats" gains 4 and "Hercules" and "Tarzan" both gain 3 votes.

33rd Fantasia = 10 Votes

At #33 "Fantasia", never thought that this would be bowing out this early, as it is considered a classic despite not being very successful at the time of it's release, but through the years it has gained a lot of love and through several re-releases it has grossed over $83 Million. This is probably an acquired taste as it has no real narrative or real structure story line, it's just a collection of musical shorts played with classical music that has been named a masterpiece by many and most Disney fans. Walt Disney himself always wanted to use his Sorcerer's Apprentice short into some sort of movie and created a whole musical around it, which was a huge risk at the time that didn't quite pay off back then, but now it has and well it may be a bit jarring to mainstream audiences, it's denying it's legacy.

32nd The Sword In The Stone = 9 Votes

At #32 and the 2nd of the Walt Disney era movies to go is "The Sword In The Stone". A movie that is very much fun and offers an interesting take on the Arthur and Merlin story, but ultimately lacks depth as the title of the movie plays a very little part in the actual story, just added in at the end as a way to end the movie. But it's still a hell of a lot of fun with Merlin being an interesting and funny character and especially his magical battle with Madam Mim, was just brilliant and hilarious.

31st Bolt = 8 Votes

Finally at #31 we have "Bolt" which gave Disney their first big hit in several years, after a few misses and while it's a fun movie with an interesting concept, I just can't help but feel that it's a little flat and doesn't quite have that Disney magic to it. The digital animation has certainly improved a hell of a lot since "Chicken Little" and "Meet The Robinsons" and it did set Disney on the right path back to their former glory with further releases.

Right then we are now down to 30 Disney Classics, and this time I'm allowing you to vote for 2 of your least faves, and the 2 with the most will be voted out by the next round which will be on Thursday 3rd December.

When you put "when I see an elephant fly" there, I thought Dumbo had had an early exit!

Frozen and Beauty and the Beast for me (nobody else will agree with this).

THANK GOD that the title was misleading! Dunno how I'd have coped with 'Dumbo' leaving this early!

'Princess & The Frog' and 'Emperor's New Groove' for me.

'The Aristocats' is fabulous! I hope we're getting to the point where people are just choosing the least fave of a strong bunch and not actually disliking that one ohmy.gif Looking at the list and there are only ~4 that I'd be happy with leaving anytime soon drama.gif

Fantasia really should not have left this early ohmy.gif It's probably one of the best animated works of all time? Especially impressive considering it was released all the way back in 1941...

Pocahontas/Robin Hood/Peter Pan for me (I know no one will agree with me for the last two, but I never saw them during my childhood so I just don't have anything special attached to them compared to the rest of the list, plus most of the characters in them are irritatingly unlikeable!)

Bit gutted Princess & the Frog has quite a bit of votes, it's really underrated for me, was on TV once and I thought I'd sit down for 15 minutes while eating breakfast and ended up glued to the screen (so much so, I didn't take my bowl out to the iamspamspamami'til the film had finished), a really heart-warming story, I know that's what Disney does best but I feel like this was one of their most real/touching.

Wow, this suddenly became really difficult.

I went for The Emperor's New Groove, Tarzan and Hercules.

Aristocats is amazing. Should be top 20!
