I didn't realise that Miss Independant didn't go number 1 in the USA. I thought all American Idol winners went straight to number 1.

Her first single in the US was a moment like this/before your love and they both went to number one

Oh and it was the fastest climbing single in the US since the beatles debut

pretty impressive, also, it was a radio smash, peaking at #8 on the Hot 100 airplay... something no other AI single has done... (as it happens MI, Breakaway, SUBG, BTHE, BOY and AMLT all peaked in the top10 of the airplay charts... with BOY, SUBG and BTHE peaking at #4)

Kelly's chart runs are just amazing. I mean look at her UK runs, how many American artists have managed to have chart runs like that?

I doubt many, i know that xtina's stripped did better?

Xtina had 5 top ten singles from it, but the album'ss run was nowhere near as good as Breakaway
