Second single from Last Year Was Complicated, and it's out now.


I really like this but it doesn't sound like a hit in the way that Close did on a first listen, I can't see this taking off stateside the way that did. And I don't think it'd do anything in the UK.

It sounds like 'Jealous' meets X Factor winner's single. Not sure what I feel about it; certainly not as good as 'Close'.

I feel the urge to point out all five of his singles have had one-word titles, plus how odd that he's released 'Chains' and now 'Chainsaw'! Fascinating stuff.

I like the lyrics actually. The break-up has hurt him so deeply that he feels the urge to get rid of any little reminder of the relationship. The imagery of a chainshaw / breaking / burning really highlights his pain.

This is much better than I thought it would be based on the title. Think it may be my favourite from him apart from Jelous.

He has star quality in my eyes, can't wait for the album.

I LOVE this song, but yeah, after Close it feels wrong. Chainsaw sounds like a really amazing album track.

Can't see this doing much? At least 'Close' has managed to take off a bit I thought it wasn't going to happen for a while - He needs to pull something bigger out the bag to get some interest in the new album otherwise can see it being a 2 week wonder.
