Pretty sure it sounds different and singular just because of indie rock that is prevailing here.
At least half of an album (that I had courage enough to listen to) sounds extremely different from, for example, Slipping Away, Porcelain etc.
Not my cup of tea, sorry, but hopes were so high... probably should give his previous ambient album a listen.
