She's always pretty fabulous but I much prefer her fierce drama queen roles laugh.gif It's the reason I liked her so much in The Last Station & Hitchcock!

Not seen the King George film but the other three I would rank like so:
1 The Last Station
2 The Queen
3 Gosford Park

I just loved her character in TLS and thought she stole the scene in almost every scene she was in, I felt really sorry for her character too, especially towards the end. She was good in The Queen but she wouldn't have been my winner that year (I preferred all of Penélope Cruz, Judi Dench & Meryl Streep tbh) but she made a decent winner for that still. Her Gosford Park nomination is a little odd as she is so bland for the entire film apart from one small scene which she did do a good job with but she was hardly impressive for the rest of it really.. Lol at her winning the SAG for it!!1

It's a shame she was snubbed for Hitchcock after hitting all of the precursor awards, she'd have been in my top 3 for Lead Actress that year and certainly deserved the nomination! It's also a shame she hasn't had the best luck scoring a nomination in the last few years (I'm sure she was great in Trumbo too and I liked her in Woman in Gold as well although not sure she'd be in my top five for the year, plus her SAG nomination was a but unexpected and never stood the best choice at a nom at the Oscars that year).

I have to admit, I didn't ever see her role as the Queen as Oscar worthy, not compared to Hitchcock at least. Not sene he rother nominated roles.

She was a delight in The Hundred-Foot Journey wub.gif and I loved her in the RED movies. My fave has to be The Debt, partly down to her and Jessica Chastain playing the
same person *.*
