Chart Commentary
While there is no change at #1, the rest of the top 3 is fresh this week as Ulrik Munther and Kesha make way for two new tracks. Up 10 places to #2 is British singer KStewart, with her song Hands. It's her third chart hit, following Oliver Heldens collaboration Last All Night (Koala), which made #7, and solo track Keeping You Up, which made #14. This makes Hands her highest peaking song to date, likewise for featured artist Yungen, who has yet to chart with anything else. KStewart 2014 07 Last All Night (Koala) [Oliver Heldens feat. KStewart] | FEAT | 8-7-8-11-19-20-25-37-X (8 weeks) 2015 14 Keeping You Up | NAS | 14-39-X (2 weeks) 2017 02 Hands (feat. Yungen) | NAS | 12-2-... (2+ weeks) Yungen 2017 02 Hands (KStewart feat. Yungen) | FEAT | 12-2-... (2+ weeks) He made his very first chart appearance earlier this year, and now X Factor Australia winner Isaiah Firebrace, known simply as Isaiah, scores his third chart hit. Each single has charted higher than the last - It's Gotta Be You peaked at #25 on its second week in the chart, while second single and Australian Eurovision entry Don't Come Easy debuted and peaked at #10. Follow-up single Streets of Gold gives Isaiah his best performance to date, entering at #3. Isaiah 2017 25 It's Gotta Be You | 1 | 34-25-34-X (3 weeks) 2017 10 Don't Come Easy | 1 | 10-14-22-30-35-X-12-33-X (7 non-consecutive weeks) 2017 03 Streets of Gold | 2 | 3-... (1+ weeks) The highest climber this week comes from British singer/songwriter Charli XCX, who scores her seventh top 10 hit with Boys as it zooms 20 places to #9. Boys follows the #5 hit After the Afterparty from the end of 2016, although previously she has achieved two #1s. Charli first saw the summit as a featured artist on Iggy Azalea's Fancy, my end of year #1 for 2014. She then topped the chart as a lead artist in 2015 alongside Rita Ora on Doing It. Charli XCX 2013 26 I Love It (Icona Pop feat. Charli XCX) | FEAT | 36-X-26-33-X (3 non-consecutive weeks) 2014 01 Fancy (Iggy Azalea feat. (2+ weeks) Louis Tomlinson holds at #1 for a second week, becoming only the sixth song this year to spend more than a single week at the top. The most weeks spent at #1 in 2017 by a single song is still three, set by Louis' bandmate Harry Styles with his debut single Sign of the Times. Multiple weeks at #1 were achieved by the following songs in 2017: 21/01/2017 - Daniel Skye - ON (2 weeks) 04/02/2017 - Martin Garrix & Dua Lipa - Scared to Be Lonely (2 weeks) 25/02/2017 - FO&O - Gotta Thing About You (2 weeks) 08/04/2017 - Harry Styles - Sign of the Times (3 weeks) 10/06/2017 - Ariana Grande - One Last Time (2 weeks) 29/07/2017 - Louis Tomlinson feat. Bebe Rexha & Digital Farm Animals - Back to You (? weeks) Elsewhere in the top 40, new personal bests are achieved by INDIIA and Whitney Phillips, who both climb into the top 20 on their hit Out of Love. There are chart debuts for Declan McKenna and Naika. On the topic of Declan McKenna, he climbs one place to #1 in this week's album chart, dethroning The Vamps after three weeks. Lana Del Rey is new at #3 with Lust For Life, her highest peaking album to date (although I prefer Born to Die), while Julia Michaels is new at #4 with her EP/mini album Nervous System. Hey Joseph!
Great to see Back to You holding #1 for a second week Quite enjoying it myself too, despite it being primarily Bebe Haven't heard Isaiah's new single yet but I'll give it a listen later on Little Mix's chart run gave me a bit of a giggle Bouncing up & down but forever stalling in the mid-Top 20 Not a big fan of Chasing Highs but it's nice to see Alma getting some success (on here and officially ) Now that Swish Swish is being given a proper single treatment will it have a chance to climb back up your chart? Great chart this week! |

hi Joseph.
1. Louis Tomlinson feat. Bebe Rexha & Digital Farm Animals - Back to You - 8-1-1- not feeling this myself, I was hoping for something a bit more EDM with Digital Farm Animals involved but I doubt it'd be my thing even if that was the case. 2. KStewart feat. Yungen - Hands - 12-2- this is great though! been in my top 100 for a few weeks. 7. Dua Lipa - New Rules - 4-5-7-7- 8. RIVRS - Playing With Fire - 21-8-8- dece entry~ 9. Charli XCX - Boys - 29-9- ** HIGHEST CLIMBER ** 11. Enrique Iglesias feat. Sean Paul & Matt Terry - SÚBEME LA RADIO - 5-11- 19. ALMA - Chasing Highs - 15-13-17-19- 25. Hi Joseph!
New Isaiah I loved It's Gotta Be You but his Eurovision entry didn't do anything for me so this could go either way for me! Great to see Humongous enter! Great to see Declan #1 on your albums chart as well! What's your favourite song of his? Great chart |

Hi Joseph!
1. Louis Tomlinson feat. Bebe Rexha & Digital Farm Animals - Back to You - 8-1-1- Hopefully this can go Top 10 next week! 5. Kesha - Praying - 1-3-3-5- 6. Selena Gomez feat. Gucci Mane - Fetish - 13-2-4-6- Can't seem to get into this, maybe it's a real slow burner. 7. Dua Lipa - New Rules - 4-5-7-7- 9. Charli XCX - Boys - 29-9- ** HIGHEST CLIMBER ** Slightly annoying but very catchy, I can't decide if I love it or hate it 10. Demi Lovato - Sorry Not Sorry - 2-4-6-10- 11. Enrique Iglesias feat. Sean Paul & Matt Terry - SÚBEME LA RADIO - 5-11- 12. Harry Styles - Two Ghosts - 5-6-9-12- I wonder if Radio 1 are going to support this? It would be odd if they didn't after SOTT went straight to A-list, but I'm sure it impacts this week? 13. Little Mix feat. Stormzy - Power - 19-30-28-16-13-13-16-12-10-13- 14. Hailee Steinfeld - Most Girls - 26-X-6-10-13-14- 18. Declan McKenna - Humongous - 18- Quite enjoying the album (even if I'd already heard more than half the songs on it lol), 'Why Do You Feel So Down' is a particular favourite 19. ALMA - Chasing Highs - 15-13-17-19- 23. Martin Garrix & Troye Sivan - There For You - 20-1-2-2-4-5-9-11-14-18-23- 26. Harry Styles - Sign of the Times - 1-1-1-4-3-3-5-12-13-18-20-19-20-23-29-30-31-26- ** LONGEST RUNNER ** 28. Mike Perry, The Vamps & Sabrina Carpenter - Hands - 25-1-2-4-8-11-15-21-20-19-23-28- 29. George Ezra - Don't Matter Now - 1-2-5-10-16-22-29- Really thought this would have been a hit, but it really doesn't look like taking off oh well, I'm sure the album will sell decently. 30. DJ Khaled feat. Rihanna & Bryson Tiller - Wild Thoughts - 37-24-30- 32. Katy Perry feat. Nicki Minaj - Swish Swish - 2-3-5-7-10-14-16-25-32-33-32- 33. Jax Jones feat. Demi Lovato & Stefflon Don - Instruction - 2-4-8-17-22-28-33- 37. Lana Del Rey feat. The Weeknd - Lust For Life - 37- Great chart as always! |

Hi Joseph
Really good #1! Been playing it quite a bit recently, would be good to see that go top 10 officially. The Anastacia track is actually not too shabby! She's still got it Wasn't a big fan of Lust For Life, nor am I really enjoying her era this time around :/ Love was very good but not taken to anything else Great Chart! |

Thank you so much for all the comments guys!! New chart will be up soon, and I promise I'll return the favours very soon, I'm now back from holiday Responses to questions:
Dexton - Swish Swish has been re-added to my playlist now so it definitely stands a chance of reclimbing! Pete - Humongous is my favourite but Brazil isn't far behind! Other faves are Why Do You Feel So Down, Paracetamol and recently growing on me is I Am Everyone Else! Mango - I think the Harry impact date was just for the US! It must have a later UK impact date, there's surely no way Radio 1 would snub him, he's on the breakfast show every other week it seems |
