So the Brits have announced the Critics Choice for the Brits in 2018.

Who do you think has the most potential to be a chart force in 2018?

I went for Stefflon Don. Her new single will bomb but she should be back on track soon for a great 2018.

I've gone for Jorja Smith. Her track with Drake was great and I think I heard another track from her at some point that appealed. Can't say I remember it though!

This feels like a bit of a weird list, it contains 2 acts that were on Sound of 2017 and one that was on Sound of 2016 laugh.gif All three of them are semi established already, could they find no appropriate new acts? (They're all pretty similar musically as well...)

Jorja is probably my favourite of the 3 but they're all pretty much on the same level. Absolutely no idea who is most likely to win it.

I actually can't see any of these 3 being any bigger than they currently are? Maybe that's just me.

But I'll go for Mabel.

I imagine Mabel might get it due to her existing industry connections

Mabel is the best out of the 3, but I'd say Stefflon Don will get it

I said Mabel out of the three.

Also, who won last year I can't remember who?

I like all 3 so don't really mind who wins! I think it'll be Mabel, but should be Jorja Smith.

I think Stefflon Don will be the new Nicki Minaj for a year or two.

At least it will be a female winner again for the first time in ages!

Hope it's Jorja Smith, saw her in NYC this summer and she was great.

I quite like Jorja Smith, but where’s her album? Her career isn’t going to nowhere only that appearance on Drake’s album.
I don’t know the situation with her label, but there’s clearly a lack of management there.

Well she did just have a minor hit single with 'On My Mind' (#54 peak), she needs more than that before she puts out an album though.

I expect Mabel will win this as 'Finders Keepers' was a top 10 and they've never given it to a rapper before so Stefflon seems less likely.

None will be as big as the 3 nominees last year (Dua, Rag N Bone man and Anne Marie are all still doing really well) so not as interested

I'll predict Mabel
I would like Stefflon

I voted for Jorja as I misread the question and thought it said 'who would you like to win?'

As for I think will win... well I'm fairly undecided! Stefflon Don is the biggest of the three currently but gut feeling tells me she won't have longevity with her success (not just because of Ding-A-Ling), I feel like Mabel is still yet to establish herself as I think her success is based on the strength of Finders Keepers rather than meriting her artistry, she could be a one-hit wonder, although hopefully not as she has some excellent previous material. My personal favourite is Jorja and seeing as she hasn't had any big hits unlike the other two I'm hoping for her - she does have potential but her only moderate success, 'On My Mind', was a bit average and rightfully didn't blow up so I'm unsure!

Aside from Jack Garratt that list is pretty extraordinary really. This award is really huge.

I love many of Mabel’s songs. I don’t know much of Jorja’s but I love On My Mind and Teenage Fantasy. Stefflon isn’t for me although Instruction is great.
