    On This Day In History
Ozzy Osbourne and his former Black Sabbath band mate Tony Iommi settled a long-running legal dispute over the use of the group's name. Ozzy had filed suit against the guitarist in May of last year, accusing Iommi of falsely proclaiming to be the sole owner of the Black Sabbath name by lodging an application with the US Patent and Trademark Office. The pair released a joint statement confirming they have settled the dispute "amicably".

    Andrew's Review
Now That’s What I Call Music! 76 or Now 76 first hit the shop shelves in Summer 2010. This jam packed edition contained 46 tracks and 10 UK #1 singles. With less than a minute disc space across both discs, this volume truly utilised as much available listening time as possible. From this volume, we received music for the first time from artists like Professor Green, B.O.B., Inna, Miley Cyrus, Train, Diana Vickers, Swedish House Mafia and Aggro Santos.

The charts were infiltrated with so much music in 2010, so obviously this meant there would be a high number of omissions, but most of them are forgettable or did not peak very high. The only exceptions are the #1 from Shout For England which was chosen as the official World Cup Song for England that year and also a famous collaboration of Eminem and Rihanna which peaked at #2. Other omissions came from 3OH!3, Muse, Ellie Goulding, Christina Aguilera, Lady Antebellum and Selena Gomez & The Scene To name a few.

Some artists were not selected again to feature in the series, and to date these are Yolanda B Cool, Edward Maya, K’NAAN, Fyfe Dangerfield and Skepta.

Artwork Rating: 5/10 Poor
Ice lollies? I mean... really? It just seems ridiculous to splatter them around the logo on this volume, even if they are summery. There’s not a lot more to say on this artwork, just another poor and desperate attempt to appeal.

Disc 1 Favourite: Inna – Hot
I remember hearing this for the first time and thinking how fresh it sounded and had tropical trance vibes. I was hoping the version to make this volume was the Cahill radio edit, but it wasn’t to be. But I’d rate this one above the rest on this disc, though I do like most of the dance and pop music on here.

Disc 2 Favourite: Example – Kickstarts
I like most music from Example, but this is one of their best early singles. I often give this one a play and especially for workouts. Pendulum is a close second though, with Swedish House Mafia not far behind that!

Disc 3 Tracklist:
(A concept of what a third disc might look like if other hits from the era were used)

1. Eminem feat. Rihanna – Love The Way You Lie 4:23 {2}
2. Selena Gomez & The Scene – Naturally 3:22 {7}
3. 3OH!3 – My First Kiss 3:12 {7}
4. Professor Green feat. Ed Drewett – I Need You Tonight 3:45 {3}
5. Fugitive – Crush 3:09 {26}
6. Kate Nash – Do-Wah-Doo 2:35 {15}
7. Marina & The Diamonds – I Am Not A Robot 3:34 {26}
8. The Pretty Reckless – Make Me Wanna Die 3:55 {16}
9. Muse – Neutron Star Collision (Love Is Forever) 3:50 {11}
10. Paul Weller – No Tears To Cry 2:24 {26}
11. Eliza Doolittle – Skinny Genes 3:05 {22}
12. Ellie Goulding – Guns And Horses 3:34 {26}
13. Pixie Lott – Gravity 3:35 {20}
14. Joshua Radin – I’d Rather Be With You 2:43 {11}
15. Ke$ha – Your Love Is My Drug 3:06 {13}
16. N-Dubz – Say It’s Over 3:44 {20}
17. Drake – Find Your Love 3:28 {28}
18. Christina Aguilera – Not Myself Tonight 3:06 {12}
19. M.I.A. – Xxxo 2:54 {26}
20. Sophie Ellis-Bextor – Bittersweet 3:28 {25}
21. Shakira – Waka Waka (This Time For Africa) 3:22 {21}
22. Shout For England feat. Dizzee Rascal & James Corden – Shout 3:18 {1}
23. The Squad – Three Lions 2010 4:17 {21}
----------
Total time: 1:17:49

Overall Rating: 7/10 Very Good
When compared with what was omitted, I feel this volume gets it nearly spot on. There’s a lot of variety and it was an enjoyable listen. What makes this volume even more impressive for me is the quantity of music, both in tracks and in listening time too. It’s a bit step up from the previous volume. Never before had 46 tracks featured on one volume in the series. It was also quite refreshing to get a live recording from the Brit Awards from that year. What does let it down a lot I feel is the artwork, which ought to have been more thought out.

Andrew's Worst 5 (as of March 2018)
1. Sean Kingston & Justin Bieber – Eenie Meenie

A great Now at the time, though I think a lot of the tracks on this album have aged quite badly.

Here's my Top 5 for the album:-

1) Edward Maya - Stereo Love
2) Pendulum - Watercolour
3) Yolanda B Cool & De Cup - We Speak No Americano
4) Inna - Hot
5) Robyn - Dancing On My Own

Never realised Marco Calliari's version of Americano charted!

Only because it served as a 'fake' version whilst Yolanda Be Cool was still on pre-orders.
