Pre-fame, obv it's always nice to have some Gaga bops but they're pretty inconsequntial in terms of the film and soundtrack. It's the raw Ally that anchors the whole film and has the big moments on the soundtrack. Boppy Ally would still end careers irl though *.*

I like to imagine that the raw Ally became part of fame Ally after I'll Never Love Again and people took her really seriously as a vocalist and artist, like Gaga herself in recent years!

Fame Ally is alright in a "would do decently in BJSC but people would be shocked when it's 'only 13th' after having odds to win" sort of way.

Which one is Before I Cry?? Coz I feel that was in the middle of a transition (and I can't remember where it is in the film. laugh.gif)

I don’t think Before I Cry is even in the film but it’s one of the best tracks. I prefer Pre Fame Ally but I do love the orange wig fame Ally uses and the more pop songs are bops too. But Pre fame is glorious wub.gif

The songs in this film are so good. Like the solo Gaga tracks are better than most of ARTPOP and Joanne. My fave album since Born This Way.

Pre-fame Ally all the way 😭

Completely agree with Liam about the two merging in the I’ll Never Love Again performance.
Ditching the awful orange wig at that stage hints at that as well.
