Sabaton are a Swedish metal band who are growing in popularity with every release! Each album focuses on a historical event or period.
Their upcoming album out on July 19th 'The Great War' is about World War 1, the lead single 'Fields of Verdun' was released a few weeks ago and is about the Battle of Verdun in France in 1916. |

Love some Sabaton, naturally! I think their best stuff is that Swedish album with the likes of Carolus Rex and Lion Of The North, but newer stuff like Shiroyama's great too. And so is Bismarck.

Fantastic album! Some absolutely brilliant tracks here - my highlights being 82nd All the Way and A Ghost in the Trenches.
After listening I noticed they'd released a History Version, where there is a bit of background on what the song is about - I'm now looking forward to listening to that version. |
