It has been 6 years since Ellie released Burn, which was a big global hit, reaching #1 in the UK and #13 in the US. What are your thoughts on this now? I absolutely adored this at the time and still do. Such a good pop song.
Shocked to see that this has 1.3b views on YouTube though! That makes it the 71st biggest music video on YT! |

Love this!! Took me a while to love it because it felt very different (and notably more commercial) for Ellie at the time but I was so pleased it finally gave her a long overdue #1.

This is my 11th most played song of all time. Such a tune and still livid that it didn't make the Top 10 in the US. But it had major longevity and I think went 4x Platinum here?

not my fav of hers
and the first signs that she was selling out her soul to the music industry by releasing someone else's song, a song that had been floating around and offered to everyone and ended up in her lap cos there label bought it for her... it is what it is but I much have preferred if she had sticked to her little tunes like Figure 8 or Starry Eyed |

100% agree with above comment. First sign of completely selling out & a red flag.
But a good earner for her. |

I did like this when it first came out but it quickly got tiring. Her music took a dive in quality during this era and would continue to do so, save for a few exceptions
Good for her that it was a first #1 although I definitely preferred 'Love Me Like You Do' out of her chart toppers. |

Ahh... Those were the days. 2013 was such a great year for music. She was on a roll at the time.

I feel meh at this.
It’s basic. Good but basic. Whoever released this would’ve had a hit in some form but Ellie was just in the right place at the right time. Not one of her best but better than her last three singles where she’s been the lead artist. |
