It's no secret that this is my #1 album of all time. One thing that particularly grabbed me as I got into it was the continuous nature of it, how each song flowed into the next with no room to breathe or pause. It's a complete package from start to end... Until I heard the version on Spotify that just doesn't do this!? Why is the continuous mix exclusive to the CD version? Can Spotify update and include this album version please? FIX IT @SPOTIFY Are you equally as annoyed about this, or can you enjoy the album that is available on Spotify? |

I've not actually listened to it in full on Spotify actually, I can't believe it does that. Like, that ruins the entire point of the album.

Listening to the album then I'd definitely go for the continuous version as it sets it apart and was designed to be listened to in that way - but I am glad to have the songs without being mixed in iTunes so that I can add Forbidden Love to my playlists without it sounding horribly abrupt.

It is actually available on Spotify as a continuously mixed track:
The continuous mix is my preferred version but I agree with dandy that I'm glad there's a non-mixed version so that you can listen to the songs on a playlist without it being jarring. |

Jay linked me to this but my last.fm ocd self almost had a fit. |

It annoys me that some amazing remixes are not available to stream !!
They need to add her old single packages this will do wonders for her streaming numbers . |

YES! I'd love to be able to stream or buy the old remixes, some of them were really quite good! I loved the extended Express Yourself for instance.

Can they have the continuous mix and edited versions? I need it on Spotify, I can't keep reverting back to my iTunes for it

Would be better to have two albums, one with the continuous mix and one with the edited versions, rather than one track for the continuous mix. They have explicit and non-explicit versions of albums uploaded after all.
I third the backing to have all of Madonna's single packages uploaded, I don't know why it starts only from Hung Up. |

I was thinking the other day about which other Madonna albums would work as a continuous mix. Since the idea of the continuous mix was to emulate the style of a DJ set, I think her debut would work as it's an album driven by the sounds of the club. It would have been interesting to have heard how William Orbit would blend the songs of Ray of Light too.
Could a continuous mix have elevated the quality of any album? It certainly plays a part in why I hold Confessions in such high regard - it helps create a journey and keeps you locked in the moment, as well as offering some interesting transitions. Could it have improved even MDNA? The lack of flow between the tracks is something I've picked up on with that album, perhaps a continuous mix would have given some sense of journey? |

If the continual mix was on spotify it would affect the play count.
