 Time for our second monthly chart of the year, for Feb. This format is so much easier to keep up with! Since we last checked in, we've had four #1s - you'll see those in the image above & also handily listed at the bottom, in case you're interested or anything...  This includes the first #1 for either Saweetie or GALXARA (as well as, I think, their first chart entries at all), and NINA, a third for Kim Petras, and a fifth for Jhene Aiko, one of my alltime fave artists.Several film and TV tracks have charted recently, you'll see that Birds of Prey has had quite an impact most lately, currently giving us this week's #1 and a few other tracks within the top 40. Britney has also had a bit of a resurgence with me inspired by among others, Slayyyter & Kim Petras's sound that I've got into a bunch more this year as my fix of what I think of as 'pure' pop. The recent Super Bowl also boosted some older Shakira tracks that I missed (or wrote off) at the time :') Eagle eyed readers will spot my own BJSC track in the current top 5, as well as last month's winner from Aeroche still kicking about in my top 10 for a 4th week. A few others in the top 40 I considered sending this month including the current #7, #12, and #36. Some ex-BJSC acts also make an appearance this week as tracks from Shallou and Gemini Rising debut. Finally, Gaga becomes the latest of very few acts to debut on my chart in their first week of release, given that I track Saturday to Saturday. I'm not too enamoured of Stupid Love, but no doubt it will score her another top 10 just from replayability.
