Now that Ariana has officially been given a seventh UK #1, let's see how she does against other similarly big names! There's a mix of both classic and current names so it could get interesting.

Every performer with seven (no more, no less) UK #1s will go head-to-head to see which of these had the best. We start with each of their first #1 hits..

Ariana Grande – Problem
Elton John – Don't Go Breaking My Heart
George Michael – Careless Whisper
Jess Glynne – Rather Be
Justin Bieber – What Do You Mean?
Kylie Minogue – I Should Be So Lucky
McFly – 5 Colours in Her Hair
Michael Jackson – One Day in Your Life
Robbie Williams – Millennium
Sam Smith – La La La
Tinie Tempah – Pass Out
U2 – Desire

Which of these is your fave? Does your fave artist here have the best song? Is their first #1 their best? Simply vote in the poll and the top 2 will go through to the grand final. A new round will appear every 2 days, so get your vote in quickly!

It has to be 'Rather Be' really, as one of my all time faves. 'Pass Out' was an excellent debut for Tinie Tempah as well, he only topped it a couple of times. 'La La La' remains a highlight for Sam Smith and I wish more of their discography sounded like it rather than the slow ballads we got. 'What Do You Mean?' is also one of the few actually great Justin Bieber tracks and I'm glad it was that which gave him his first chart topper over many of his rubbish earlier singles. Sadly for an artist as legendary as MJ his first #1 just wasn't all that great and I'm not surprised it's barely remembered now.

Here's how I'd rank it.

Jess Glynne – Rather Be
Tinie Tempah – Pass Out
Sam Smith – La La La
Justin Bieber – What Do You Mean?
Ariana Grande – Problem
George Michael – Careless Whisper
Elton John – Don't Go Breaking My Heart
Robbie Williams – Millennium
Kylie Minogue – I Should Be So Lucky
U2 – Desire
McFly – 5 Colours in Her Hair
Michael Jackson – One Day in Your Life

Not the greatest selection of songs, but as some of U2's superior later #1s are still likely to lose out (e.g. The Fly stands no chance against Billie Jean), I voted for them here.

Definitely 'Careless Whisper' for me! 'Millennium' probably second, one of Robbie's greats.

Michael wins this for me!

But Careless Whisper and Rather Be are also smashes.

It’s funny bc I love Ariana and I’ve become a real Kylie fan but those songs aren’t great for me!
