It's finally happening! It's looking pretty much confirmed that Arctic Monkeys have been recording their seventh album in Suffolk!
I imagine it'll be out in the first half of 2022, but I'm hoping we'll hear a single by the end of this year |

Rumours are doing the rounds on Twitter that there will be some sort of announcement next week...

I like both, but I'd rather they go in a new direction again (like they seem to do with all their albums)

don't find much difference between albums 1 to 5
but yes evolving and changing direction is always good |

I'd probably argue that only their first two albums are the ones that sound similar, with AM in particular being quite a big change from their debut.

Yeh the first two were like one era with all the pent up work into the first two albums for the label then AM and the last album are completely different styles!

A French Rolling Stone journalist has said something along the lines of "we'll hear from them in mid-November", I'm fully expecting some sort of announcement in the next week or so with all these rumours/leaks...

Yesss!
I honestly feel this is the right climate now for the Arctics to have another big hit single! |

First week of January would be much better so it has a free go at the new music year!

Tbh I don’t think they care (or need to care) about how they perform in the charts!

It's finally happening! It's looking pretty much confirmed that Arctic Monkeys have been recording their seventh album in Suffolk! Oooh. Local(ish) to me! Local enough to have decided to go walking around there(ish) a few times! If this isn't anything like the last album, it should be really good! |

Absolutely but I still think they could be bound for some big commercial success with this album regardless. The album chart No 1 is pretty much guaranteed here in the UK - a bit like The Killers these days it would be more suprising if they didn't do it. They won't be that bothered about the singles chart, only Four Out of Five made the Top 40 last time out. |

Of course they will, they had 3 by the way some of you are pretty lucky having direct access to Alex's brain, knowing what he wants, thinks, amazing |
