Originally a companion of the Third and Fourth Doctors, Sarah Jane Smith was a journalist who bumped into the Tenth Doctor when investigating unusually high exam results and a rapid staff turnover at a secondary school. Together, they defeated the Krillitanes, alongside another old friend - K-9. A spin-off followed for Sarah Jane, where she saved the world from her attic on Bannerman Road with the help of adopted son Luke and his friends Maria, Clyde and Rani. Sarah Jane met the Doctor four more times - twice on the spin-off itself, once to stop the Daleks and Davros from destroying the universe, and one brief encounter with the Tenth Doctor before his regeneration.

Oh, and if you're a Sarah Jane fan, I dare you to watch this without crying. I didn't make it.

Sorry for the delay in getting this round up guys!

Sad to see Sarah Jane out but it's a fair placing for her really. Amy gets my vote again this round.

Okay I think I'm going for Rose now. I do like her but I think she benefits from being the first new companion when the ideas were all fresh and when I see her episodes now I don't actually love her as much as I love the stories she's in.

Donna is GOOD, miles better than Martha bloody Jones, but she isn't up there with those god tier companions.
