The second week of the Chartfriday's Personal Chart and we look to see if Where Are You Now by Lost Frequencies can retain the No 1 spot or whether it will be challenged by one of the 12 new entries on this weeks chart, 5 of which debut straight in the top ten having a very good week.

Round Up

New #1

Miles Kane claims his first No 1 on the Chartfridays Personal Chart with his brilliant new track, Don't Let It Get You Down. Although the reality being that had this chart existed at the release of some of his previous work he'd likely have claimed a few more. This is the opening single from the January slated Change The Snow fourth solo album from him. A pulsing indie throwback track reminiscent of his first two albums and his work on the fabulous two The Last Shadow Puppet's albums that he's released with Alex Turner of the Arctic Monkeys.

It's a particularly good week for metal and rock with Ice Nine Kills and Jinjer both turning up in the Top 5 and Feeder and Sabaton in the Top 10. Yungblud Nirvanesque Fleabag also climes in the top 5 to #4 for a new peak. Outside of the number 1 Ukranian based metalcore band Jinjer claim this weeks highest new entry with their poignant song about the difficulties of being an introvert in an extroverted world coming out of the pandemic. In rather contrasting fashion Ice Nine Kills follow up just behind with Assault and Batteries a humorous horror metal song based on the 1988 Child's Play films ahead of their upcoming album The Silver Scream 2: Welcome to Horrorwood, a sequel to 2018's The Silver Scream, giving the albums play on horror films tropes, we can surely expect them to get up to at least Silver Scream 10.

Elsewhere in the Top 10 - dance number Runaway flies up from 30 to #9 and Feeder and Sabaton claim new entries, the Sabaton track is relatively Sabaton by numbers but it's them so it sounds good, released as a tie in for the World of Tanks games.

Further down there was some issues as despite their being 12 new entries, chart compilers realised that Feast of Fire was including twice on last weeks chart, and as such only 11 songs make way.

Hi! My faves in your chart this week

06 - (09) Cold Heart - Elton John, Dua Lipa (PNAU Remix) [09-06]
07 - (03) Stay - Kid Laroi, Justin Bieber [03-07]
15 - (27) In Your Arms - Disclosure [27-15] Big fan of theirs, this isn't my fave of the EP but it's a solid effort.
23 - (12) Talk About - Rain Radio [12-23] Definitely one of my faves of the year, the best kind of basic bopp.
28 - (NE) Hot Air Balloon - Don Diablo ft AR/Co [28] A bit mid-tier for Don Diablo, he's certainly done better.
32 - (21) Remember - Becky Hill, David Guetta [ 21-32]

All good choices, although I'm getting a bit burnt out on Remember and Talk About now.

Hiya! hi.gif

Fold Heart climbing is nice to see. It's so good. Looks like it's climbing officially now which is great as well!
Ooft at Bad Habits falling fast. That's a shame sad.gif I'm loving it currently.
A big fall for Rember also. It's looking likely to replace Bad Habits at #1 on Monday for me. What a track!

Nice chart! happy.gif
