'Absolutely Positively' Discussion.

- Described as "mid-tempo funk"
- " Absolutely Positively has a vintage Stevie Wonder-style production (no, really), all clavinet and smooth bass."
- The third song Absolutely Positively once again takes on the entire male race in just four minutes, thanks to the help of a cracking bass guitar and a slower pace. Her voice is just as good as it has ever been and I even found myself swishing my hair and reaching for my highest pair of high heels.

The lyrics confuse me

Sounds pretty naff really...I'm just SO disappointed in this entire project to date. Words can't describe it. Wtf happened to the woman who produced one of the best albums of all time four years ago? :/

The 'Anastacia' album was managed by Anastacia herself. This project is controlled totally by her record company, who are determined to push forward into breaking her into the USA. :/

Confirmed by Anastacia herself, Absolutely Positively will be the next single released from 'Heavy Rotation'. The video is being shot in the next week or two and the company are hoping to release it this year to push forward the album and its sales.

It's an okay-ish song. Who knows, the 60's sounding is doing okay at the moment, but it's not really that much different from ICFY, they both sound dated.

I think it would be more successful then ICFY (this type of sound is in at the moment), but It wouldn't do well.

Yeah, you are comparing a full song that has a video to a 1minute sneak preview!

i think we can judge enough by 1 minute, fair enough if it was 10 seconds but a minute!? - it's not going to play for 1 minute then suddenly become a WOW song.

i agree, if you hear a minute of a song you can figure out if it has the oomth factor that would make it a good single

This whole era is screwed. The styling, the sound, (which I can most probably guess isn't down to her), the fact that Universal is refusing (?) to promote the single...

It deserves to crash and burn.

Absolutely Positively is the most played song out of them all on myspace...but like I said before there's still time to change it...which could happen...I've seen it happen loadsa times...

imo she should release HR then Defeated AND THEN AP...I think she deffo needs to release HR first tho...

And yeah these 60's style sounds are really popular at the mo so ya never know how it's gonna go

Heavy Rotation would be doing ALOT better than ICFY, but it would of been a disastrous idea to release it first, imagine the reactions she would get.

It didn't mean release it as the very 1st single...I mean so it goes...ICFY, HR, Defeated and THEN AP

i think they have enough common sense to realise that the first song on the list will get more plays
