Taio Cruz is back in the UK Charts after the success of his previous single, a duet with US singer Ke$ha, 'Dirty Picture' which peaked at #6, 5 weeks after debuting at #40 in April 2010, the single spent 9 weeks in the top 40, falling rapidly after peaking in early May 2010.
Since then, Taio has continued his shock success stateside. After breaking the US barrier in February with his former UK no.1 'Break Your Heart' which has topped 4 world charts (Canada, Switzerland, The US & The UK), he released 'Dynamite' as a follow-up single in the US on May the 30th of 2010. Eventually, the track rapidly flew up the US iTunes Chart, peaking (and is currently) at #2 on the digital platform across the Atlantic. It has peaked at #3 on the Billboard Hot 100, #3 in Canada, #4 in New Zealand and #7 in Australia.
Now, to the track itself, and it seems to be a slice of some fantastic dance music, produced by Dr. Luke & Benny Blanco. With an infectious hook (we gon' rock this club, like it's dynamite) and a club smashing opening due to the massive dose of auto-tune, the intro:
I came to dance, dance, dance, dance
I hit the floor
'Cause that's my, plans, plans, plans, plans
I'm wearing all my favorite
Brands, brands, brands, brandsWith a fluent, productive beat throughout along with a more-than-bareable Autotune feature, everything bodes well for UK Success on August the 23rd here in the UK, it comes up against Alexandra Burke's tropical tune 'Start Without You'. Overall, it ranks among the best of Taio Cruz and takes another step towards strengthing his grip on the worldwide scene.
