Iremembertapes. – Human Architecture Nostalgia and the roots of an ideal 70s/80s lifestyle, seems to feed Iremembertapes exactly what they need to create an album that pieces together the fundamental values of human energy and the reach for a collective of synth and indie rock illustration. Entering in with ‘First Light’ - “wake up” is the only way to appropriately summon you into the mind of Iremembertapes. With each hinge and angle of construction that they demonstrate builds an individual, there is never a dull moment throughout. The album sits well in the gap that divides classic synth/indie bands like Pulp and Blur and their contemporaries, Bloc Party and Temper Trap. With that in mind, if ‘Human Architecture’ was released in the late 70s, the band would deserve a permanent slot on the bill for supporting the likes of Joy Division on any of their tours.
