John Graham: Roll The Dice
Reviewed by Urbanfairy on 7 Apr 2015
UK born but now US based, John Graham’s new album is set to reach these shores showcasing slick, contemporary indie-rock with electronic touches and a humungous load of swagger. It’s an album full of ideas which are primed to make an impact on to the UK charts. The album is something of a new launching for Graham, though still gaining countless applause producing house and techno whose previous work was under the name Quivver.

The lead single ‘Roll the Dice’ of Graham’s new album ‘Cold Sun’, proves that there are so many layers to this album that will surprise you, by turning out tunes which are strongly based on the indie rock genre but give it an electronic twist and make it work to an effective standard, which is no small feat and also quite uncommon. It’s certainly an interesting combination that certainly works in his favour that adds to the subtlety of John Graham’s genre blending.

Overall the track is an amalgamated union of genres that you wouldn’t think to work, but has done exactly what you didn’t expect to do. Graham has produced a very distinct track that could send him a long way, but this is only a taste of what is to come in the new album and I am very excited to hear what else he has up his sleeves.
