Preacher: Signals (Album)
Reviewed by Urbanfairy on 26 Mar 2015
Track number 1 is Time which you are introduced into by a really calming piano. And then the vocals come in. Soon all the instruments kick in making a really nice melody to listen too. It’s a quite a slow song up until the chorus when it starts to pick up pace and become a bit more upbeat. Nice introduction to the album!

The next track is Jupiter to Mars which again you are introduced to by a really calming piano. Soon breaks into quite an inspirational song of trying to touching the sky. The main meaning is to believe. The instruments are really well put together with the lyrics one wouldn’t be the same without the other.

The Sea starts of with a guitar compared to the previous tracks to have started of with a calm piano. This is quite an upbeat track in the album. With 2 guitar solos, the lyrics are also quite upbeat on this track.

Fat Cats the piano is really something in this song, it’s memorizing and holds the intervals for the vocals to come in. But it soon goes more upbeat when the electric guitar is being played. The vocals are again good as well but the instruments lead this song more in my opinion.

Cry 4 Help is a slow track, which doesn’t have many vocals, and is lead by the guitar and drum though most of the track. It does have vocals but not many that have lyrics apart from the nearer the beginning. A nice slow track which the title represents well.

Signals is the main song in the album, about extraterrestrials how they may eventually come down. The instruments are really good especially the drum which leads this song. Also the guitar is great. The vocals are also strong in this song.

Arrival is the song supposedly after the signal. Arrival is the only song not to contain any vocals at all. But that doesn’t take away from the instruments at all. The guitar is mesmerizing in this track!

First Contact after the arrival, the first contact with the extraterrestrials. It has a nice chorus and really nice guitar riff.

The Factor really nice drum beat and strong vocals, upbeat track with quite a fast drum beat along with a strong electric guitar.

Friends Of My Dreams another really upbeat track from the album. With a really nice upbeat guitar riff. Great vocals and a really nice rhythmatic drum beat to wrap it all together.

Destiny switches it up with a slow sort of song up until the drop leaving no suspense for this Slow but loud song. The drum beat leads the track as well as the guitar. The vocals are also good keeping up with the drum and guitar.

I’ll be there is the final track, and feels like a farewell track to see the audience off. The chorus is good. A slow beat track again. With less of a loud sound to it. The vocals are the best in this song in my opinion as the vocals definitely lead and carry this song.

Overall preacher signals is a great album with really good narrative, good use of instruments and a good set of tools to slow or speed up the tempo.
