NuBorg: Sliding Off the Edge of the World
Reviewed by Urbanfairy on 13 Jan 2015
2014 was a big year for singer-songwriter NuBorg, spinning her ambient pop yarns out on a monthly basis in a series of singles. What was impressive was the consistency of those singles - each one finding a mark a quality and keeping up and impressive run of top class songs.

Well now those songs have been collected together to make a typically top class album. Varying from the hypnotic title track to the more upbeat 'You You', this is versatile songwriting from a skilled writer who also works with a strong team to make sure each song lives up to its potential.

Further highlights include 'Inanna' and especially 'One Day' (which shares some DNA with the aforementioned title track. But really this isn't an album of highlights and lowlights. This is an album of great texture throughout, and even the weaker songs are good songs. So this is case of 9 songs which range from good to great and better - and a firmer recommendation you can't get from an album.
