Jaunty acoustic-pop which immediately calls to mind Newton Faulkner at his best, this single from Narrow Plains is a big, light treat of a song. Out now, it's a track that starts with an acoustic guitar line that skitters along nicely and gradually adds new elements to build a lush pop song full of grace and subtlety.
The short, sharp, vocal phrases, which (once it kicks in) fit perfectly over the pacy reggae feel of the verse switch to longer, more languid lines when the more poppy verse kicks in. It's a very simple structural decision, but one which - with two minor changes - make the chorus soar above the rest of the song.
In short, if you enjoy well written pop music, particularly with an acoustic guitar and an easy energy, this is a song you should be checking out.
