Just when you thought Pitbull couldn't get much trashier - he's only gone and reigned Ke$ha into his newest track.

'Timber' serves as the first single from Pitbull's forthcoming EP, Meltdown and sees Pitbull turn a little bit cowboy on us. Following the success of Avicii's 'Hey Brother' and 'Wake Me Up', it's no surprise to see that other artists are trying to latch onto the ever so slightly country tinged dance sound - and with Pitbull never being one to shy away from jumping onto current trends, he's dabbled in the country influence himself. With a harmonica that sounds throughout, there's a real barnyard feel to this song.

As with every Pitbull song, the song is packed full of innuendos and questionable rapped lyrics (we'll always remember him rhyming 'Kodak' with no other than... 'Kodak') which play lightly on the idea of 'going down, going Timber'... I'll leave it up to you to decide what he means by such a lyric. Ke$ha's strong Los Angeles accent helps to further the feel of this track feeling very American, but I dare you not to at least tap your foot to this song.

With singalong 'whoaaa' sections, pulsating beats and a catchy harmonica hook, this is definitely one for the New Year parties and could well be the first Number One of 2014. It's certainly one that you'll struggle to remove from your head; love it or hate it.
