George Montague: Umbrella
Reviewed by Urbanfairy on 13 Oct 2016
'Umbrella' is the new single from excellent new UK singer songwriter George Montague. Taken from new album 'Curiouser and Curiouser George', the single finds Montague at his mercurial best - a multi-instrumentalist with a genuine knack for memorable melodies.

From the moment the rhythm kicks in, this song is a song of momentum. As the layers build and the verse spins into chorus and back again, it's a song which never lets up - uplifting in spirit not only because of its major chord pattern but it's jaunty pace. And that it does all that without coming across as cheesy or overblown is a triumph in itself.

For further evidence, you can find the video on YouTube.
