There is no denying that former Mis-Teeq star Sabrina Washington is excited about the release of her new single OMG [Oh My Gosh]. After hearing the full track it’s easy to see why. I hadn’t counted on Sabrina seeing one of my tweets during a search where I mentioned her name. A few tweets later and Sabrina was ready for a Buzzjack grilling about her new single, I'm A Celebrity and new role with The National Blood Service.

Have you come across anything on Twitter that really annoyed you?

Yes, people that have always have got something negative to say.... enjoy life and live it, I say.

So you're back now ready to launch the new single OMG [Oh My Gosh]. What's the song about?

'OMG' is about a man cheating on his girlfriend, she finds out and obviously she is not too pleased but she has another man as a 'reserve', so she gets the last laugh.

Are you nervous about reaction to the song?

Of course I am nervous about the reception. This is the first time out by myself without the girls as a support system. It's scary but exciting at the same time.
I want everyone to see my growth and how far I've come since Mis-teeq, so my fingers, arms and everything else are crossed and I hope people like it.

What chart position will you be happy with?

I would be happy with a top 10. If I get that you may see me running through London starkers.....lol

The video looks very sexy [Video at bottom!]- how much fun was it to film?
The OMG video was really fun to film! As the day went on, the sexier the outfits got and the more confident I felt. I wanted a video that pushed the boundaries of fashion.
I hope people will be pleasantly surprised.



The album is called Dirty Pop. What is that?

"DIRTY POP" is dirty sounding beats infused with sexy pop vocals and lyrics.

Have you finished recording it?

Most of "DIRTY POP" is done. I'm just adding finishing touches to it, making sure it's exactly how I want it. When an album is so personal you want to make sure it sounds right, so I'm going through everything with a fine tooth comb at the moment.

What can you tell us about the album? Who did you work with?

I've worked with people that bring out the best in my vocals. And who are great at creating a new sound. Ali Tennant is the man when it came to writing songs. He has penned songs for the likes of JLS and Britney spears. I've also worked with Labyrinth, who has done the new Tiny Tempah single "Pass Out". Also, Parker and James who produced " Oopsy Daisy " for Chipmunk, Taley Riley who is a talented singer/songwriter, and Harmony one of the best producers the UK has.

Do you have a favourite track yet?

My Favourite track at the moment is 'Strip' about a girl asking a man to strip down to his undies. Lol!

Is there a release date for the album?

Not a date yet but middle of the year....

How have things been since you took part in I'm A Celebrity?

Since Celebrity things have been really busy, with photo shoots and all sorts. I have been generally preparing for the single. I was approached to do a lot of things after the jungle but I wanted to put out my single first before I considered doing anything else.

Are you glad you did do the show now?

I am so glad I did the show! It's definitely one of the best things I've ever done. Although camping is something I would never do again. I hated flying, insects, heights... you name it. But I really...and I say really enjoyed it. I overcame my fear of heights and flying by jumping out of a plane at 1200 feet. It was just truly amazing...

Are you still in touch with anyone?

I've tried to stay in contact with everyone but all of us have been so busy but I do talk to some quiet a lot!!!

Of course there was lots of press surrounding yourself and Stuart - are you still in touch?

We are.

Has Alesha [Dixon] heard any of your new material yet?

She has and she loves it!

Any chance of you both ever working together again?

I'll never say never but I have no plans at all. We have all moved in different directions.

I hear you are also involved with The National Blood Service's 'VIP Appeal': Can you explain this and what your role is?

I am involved in the The National Blood Service's VIP Appeal because there is a lack of blood donors in the Asian and Black community. There are diseases that are only prevalent to these communities like Sickle Cell Anaemia so they need more blood. I met a young girl called Binto who suffered from Leukaemia from a young age. She has since recovered but needed a blood transfusion to survive. It made me realise how important it really is to give blood.

What are your hopes for 2010?
I just hope 2010 is as good as the end of 2009 baby!
